And hopefully a Yankees loss will complete the night.
That's the real point about tonight. Yes,we definitely want/need the win, but more than that we need Sale to be Sale again.

Moreland out for Travis with a lefty starter, but of course he can get back in if a righty shows up. HanRam at DH, probably right.

    And no Devers--Marrero instead. Hmmm.

Pedey back at 2b and no Holt.

Not surprised; Farrell has said he thinks a lot of the errors are due to Devers being tired. With the off day tomorrow, he should get 2 days off, which might just be enough to recharge for the final 10 games.

For those wondering how a 20 year old could be tired, he's played in 134 games over 3 leagues this year. It's the most he's ever played in in a season (128 least year) and he's played most of his major league games in the stress of a pennant race; there's been no easing into things.
The Yankees could go 0-162 and it wouldn't be enough

It'll be spring training time before we get a reliable internet or TV here inFt. Myers. I would not hold any Xfbiity stock if you gave it to me. Cpmcast MAY recover, but it may take forever. I see a an AT&T type breakup as a possibility.

Meanwhile, it just occurred to me that the average age of the new Sox Six Man Xadre is 241/2. Devers, the four "B Boys" and Vazquez will be here long after I'm gone! Who will be plaing 1B, 2B and the DH is the real mystery!

New material ffrom sunny Ft Myers:

I Could Not Believe My Ears

    My radio cackled,
    Battery half dead,
    The volume so low
    I could barely hear
    What the guy said.

    But he was excited
So I made my ear a cup
    And bent close to hear:
    That my TV company
    Had gone b(t)elly-up!

Is this a case of reverse lock?
"Hating the Yankees like it's a religion since 94'" RIP Mike.

"It's also a simple and indisputable fact that WAR isn't the be-all end-all in valuations, especially in real life. Wanna know why? Because an ace in run-prevention for 120 innings means more often than not, a sub-standard pitcher covering for the rest of the IP that pitcher fails to provide. You can't see value in a vacuum when a player does not provide full-time production."

This team? They scored 10 runs the day before yesterday, and the pitching gave up 0 runs in 11 innings yesterday. It's also only the second inning. Maybe we should give this game a little more time.

    - From the 2004 ALCS Game 4 Gamethread. A reminder that no game is over until the final out is recorded, and things will always get better. Misspellings unchanged as a reminder that Yankees fans are just terrible.

This team can't spell earned run. Hanley's take of a fastball middle middle was hard to watch.
