Very impressed with the astros. Didn't think they had a chance in a game 7 and i was wrong. Very resilient team. Thrilled for houston after all they have gone through.

Just when you start thinking no team can win these days without strong pen , Houston blows up the idea.
Your 2017 MLB world champions Houston Astros!!! Sweet that they won in L.A lol
The best team won.
I am happy for them.
Especially for Josh Reddick and George Springer.
Holy shit Correa just asked his girlfriend to marry him. Lol.
Dope.
Now get to work Cora.

"It's also a simple and indisputable fact that WAR isn't the be-all end-all in valuations, especially in real life. Wanna know why? Because an ace in run-prevention for 120 innings means more often than not, a sub-standard pitcher covering for the rest of the IP that pitcher fails to provide. You can't see value in a vacuum when a player does not provide full-time production."
I live just Southwest of Houston (Sugar Land).
I'm glad these guys won. This area needed some diversion.
Plus, who wants the $Dodgers$ to win?

My vote for ugliest player of all time goes to former Jays pitcher Gustavo Chacin. I could hardly stand to even look at the guy, out of a combination of revulsion and pity.
I would never use the word "ugly" to describe a human being.
Although this discussion has turned ugly.
Lucky for the Astros fans that Springer hitting randomness was off the charts.
Unlucky for the Dodgers that Turners hitting randomness was in the tank.
Congrats to the 2017 WS Champion houston astros.
that now leaves, Washington, Texas, Colorado, and Seattle as the only orgs without a parade....
other names i have posted under: none
I saw several of their players here in the Quad Cities when they were in A ball. Correa, McCullers and Davenski were all here in 2013 while Bregman, Musgrove and Fisher passed through in 2015. There were a couple others who played a few games with the Astros this season; they could have been late season call-ups though.
The Yankees could go 0-162 and it wouldn't be enough
