It looks like the Marlins finally nailed a good haul for one on their top players
Brinson is the 7 OF prospect
    Diaz is the 4th 2B
and everybody is talking about Monte Harrison

    Good return for Yelich

Especially after that crap haul for Stanton that was apparently so bad, even Boston could have topped it...

    LOL.

Had we not spent foolishly on bad free agents and traded away about 20 prospects that had been top 20 prospects at some point, we could have acquired many of these players recently traded away for peanuts or far less than what we gave away in our recent blockbuster trades.

The point was out was eadily toppable by one of the worst fans in baseball.

The Marlins panicked. All Stanton wanted was to go to a winning team - his for choices were LCS participants from the year before. By July 31st this year, other teams were very likely to emerge as options. Or injuries might have made one of those four teams more interested.

But for some reason the Marlins thought it imperative to move that contract NOW and take a cheap package. Stanton's contract and age are really not all that daunting., especially compared to what players are holding out for today. ..

...and especially since there is no QO penalty attached and his luxury tax cost is just $25M a year.
