Wait - maybe it is the least important spot in the batting order which isn't important anyway.

Thanks, mvp. About what I expected except for Holt. I was hoping for Lin.

Actually some truth in that in my view. The bottom third is still the bottom third, except maybe the 2004 Sox. That said, the bottom third was key to that 8th inning rally Sunday.

Me too. I bet he'll get a shot sooner or later. He's a better fielder than Holt and if Holt's bat doesn't return, Lin would be a far better choice.

You guys are in trouble, we've called up our 9th outfielder Sugar Shane Robinson for this series.

I, for one, am shaking in my boots now.

"It's also a simple and indisputable fact that WAR isn't the be-all end-all in valuations, especially in real life. Wanna know why? Because an ace in run-prevention for 120 innings means more often than not, a sub-standard pitcher covering for the rest of the IP that pitcher fails to provide. You can't see value in a vacuum when a player does not provide full-time production."

Pretty sure that MLB is considering eliminating the 7th batting position because of this and, of course, it will shorten the game.

Can't stand in the way of progress!

It's raw as fuck so I hope you and your friends have dressed warmly. Just the parent in me talking!

It has been drizzling almost all day 35 miles south west of Fenway.

Not nearly as cold as I thought. Missed out on BP because of the weather. Would've loved to see Stanton and Judge do bad things to the Monster.

The Yankees are worthless and weak
In the town where I was born
Lived a man who sailed to sea
And he told us of his life
    In the land of submarines
So we sailed up to the sun
'Til we found a sea of green
And we lived beneath the waves
    In our yellow submarine

So for those interested Alex Cora just told us why he missed getting JD out of the OF for a defensive replacement for the 9th inning in the Rays game.

"we were so happy with runs we scored that I just missed it".

Boston media aghast.....the truth....something that actually makes some sense as opposed to some long drawn out Farrelistic answer? Would prefer that he handn't missed it. But that was great answer.
