It's over, and good thing too. No way I want that bloated monstrosity enshrined in history, haha.

He's already there with 240 wins and a Cy Young award.

So are a lot of other guys, but only a handful comparatively have perfect games. It just pisses me off that this guy basically flipped off the Red Sox while they were paying him and then somehow continued pitching despite looking like his shins should have imploded ten years ago.

I hold that stuff against him as well.

Much as I dislike the Cuban guy that we got for Lester who said he would not re-sign with Boston. Yeah, Cespades or whatever.

    Fuck them.

"It's also a simple and indisputable fact that WAR isn't the be-all end-all in valuations, especially in real life. Wanna know why? Because an ace in run-prevention for 120 innings means more often than not, a sub-standard pitcher covering for the rest of the IP that pitcher fails to provide. You can't see value in a vacuum when a player does not provide full-time production."

Yeah, I was pissed at him too for the way he walked away from the Red Sox. I still don't know what happened with that situation, but I have to marvel at what he has been able to do at an advanced age with 8 -10 mph less on his fastball than in his Cy Young year and no breaking ball.

Connecticut native Pollock with an awesome grab to preserve the no-no. The over/under on Thunder telling us Pollock went to the same high school is five minutes after the next time he logs in!

Paxton is really good. I remember facing him last year he was dynamite. A lefty with high 90s stuff is almost unheard of.

Jordan Lyles with the Padres (who????) with a perfect game heading into the 6th.

Padres fans haven't had much to cheer about for the past two decades, this would be nice for them.
