"It's also a simple and indisputable fact that WAR isn't the be-all end-all in valuations, especially in real life. Wanna know why? Because an ace in run-prevention for 120 innings means more often than not, a sub-standard pitcher covering for the rest of the IP that pitcher fails to provide. You can't see value in a vacuum when a player does not provide full-time production."
Today..... walking in back to work........ there was something stuck to my shoe and everytime I made a step it made a sound.....
and it reminded me of 00:24.... and on.......... and then I had this song in my head for while.....

In the town where I was born
Lived a man who sailed to sea
And he told us of his life
In the land of submarines
So we sailed up to the sun
'Til we found a sea of green
And we lived beneath the waves
In our yellow submarine
In the town where I was born
Lived a man who sailed to sea
And he told us of his life
In the land of submarines
So we sailed up to the sun
'Til we found a sea of green
And we lived beneath the waves
In our yellow submarine
I miss this thread...... I gotta hang more...

That's too funny. Same here.......... and for the exact same reasons........... Stairway is kind of ruined for me.
But that song is c grade compared to the rest of their stuff............ they have so many more gems Stairway is an after thought.....
I find they are best when you aren't looking for them........ when you have the radio on and blam....... The Immigrant song comes on or something............... to me it's mezmorizing..... and then Zep gets played the rest of the day....

Mama Told Me Not To Come - Randy Newman
It is interesting to find out that songs you like were composed by other artists.
Warren Zevon and Moon Martin come to mind. So does Elvis Costello.

Three Dog Night was one of the greatest cover bands ever. They helped pay the bills for songwriters such as Randy Newman, Harry Nilsson, Hoyt Axton, and Laura Nyro.

I always liked Three Dog Night. I sure saw enough of them on TV. Next to Paul Revere and the Raiders, they seemed to be on music variety show most often "back in the day".
They had a really good "live" album "Live at The Forum" on which my favorite song was Chest Fever.
In another Spud story, Paul Revere and The Raiders were the performers on my Honeymoon cruise. They sat at a table next to me and my Bride for two days before I realized who they were. I thought they were pimps or drug dealers! The only original member was Paul Revere himself and I did not recognize him. I ended playing basketball on the ship with several of them. They put on a good show. Sort of like a band would perform in Las Vegas. That was back in 1986!
