It's the most important month of the year!!! And how do we start it? With Tim (expletive) Wakefield. If he wants a shot to be in the playoff rotation he better pitch a gem tonight. Sox need to take this series, no more losing to this sub- .500 team. We need to go into Tuesday with some wins.

Meanwhile, on the other coast, our playoff foe may be decided. A's and A's are getting ready for a weekend season finale, with both teams tied for the AL West. We shouldn't focus too much on it, but it is something worth noting.

THIS IS THE YEAR WE START THE 2004 CHANT!!!!

I hope Wake does well.

I'll be listening to the game (as usual).

This part of the year is fun. We can listen to the game without stressing about who wins!

Still, if Wake can pull it together I'll feel a lot better about heading into the playoffs...

Who wins the west? (Can the A's please win 2?)

Sox Related:
Can Wake get it together and stay above .500 (11-10)?
Can Damon get to 20 hrs (19). Stay over .300 (.302)?
Can Tek get to 20 hrs (18). Stay over .300 (.300)?
Can Millar get to 20 hrs (18). Get to .300 (.297)?
Can Manny get to 45 hrs (43)?
Can Ortiz get to 140!!!! RBI (136). Stay over .300 (.300)?
Can Mirabelli get to 10 hrs (9)?
Can Lowe get to 15 wins (14)?
Can Bellhorn get to 180 Ks (175). Stay under .260 (.258)?

Wake sounds decent so far. Lopez is fairly dominant again.

Oh yeah it does. I saw the start of the game and the announcers in NY were saying how important this start was for El Duque and his postseason status.

Yes, congrats Ichiro!

I was only posting the Yankees stuff, well, because I hate them... and it was nice to see them lose.

Plus, they were counting on El Duque who got hit hard by Toronto.

I meant whether we won or lost, whether they won or lost, they clinched the division...so these last few games, are basically for nothing
