They're in first place (http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/standings#) with a 4-0 record. Is this the real deal or is it just another sprint out of the gate, like the Royals had last year?

Personally, I see it as a mix. While there is no chance in hell that the Tigers will win the division (err, at least I dont think there's one), they will certainly do better than before. Maybe I-Rod was the spark the team needed to get out of the gutter?

Well, we all know how weak the AL Central is. Stranger things have happened...

Name something stranger than the tigers winning the central over the whitesox/twins/indians/roayls this season.

They're not in fourth place...

I-rod is certainly helping, although the loss of Dimytri Young could hurt a lot.

The White Sox/Minn will probably win the division, but it's not unreasonable to say the Tigers will.

Heh...kind of scary to think they have the best record in all of baseball.
