Redsox in 7. It wont have a walkoff hit but we'll still have a good game.

I say Red Sox in 6. I don't think anything can be quite as dramatic as last year.

I second that, I don't think this will have all the melodrama of last year. Sox in six, maybe even 5.

Even if it does go to 7 games, yeszir is right about the series....it won't be as dramatic (as far as walk off homers and fights)

BTW, my first post

Lets not forget we are talking about the Sox here. On top of that Sox vs. Yankees. You don't think it's gonna be dramatic? Of course it is. There have only been about four games between the two this year that haven't been.

Does that mean I think it will be the same drama as last year? Probably not. But putting these two teams together for 4-7 games their bound to be a couple edge of your seaters, nail biters, etc. And I can't wait.

Sox in 7, noonanberg is right, this season will be even more dramatic. One, because we are more than likely the favorites here. Two, the Yankees have been coming back from leads. They own Pedro, and I just plain think that this season, with the fight, the come from behinds against Rivera, and everything else, this will probably be the best and most intense playoff series ever

not to mention that this season has been full of wide ranged emotions. especially since every game i actually sat through between the sox and yanks ALWAYS had some sort of fight in it. the one i thought was incredibly stupid was when lofton elbowed mientkiewicz, it was an accident, neither one of them had to elevate it. but it is the sox/yanks, and there is hate flowing on the field.

Any best of 7 with the Sox and Yanks in it has drama. It's not fair to assume that we will or won't have the drama of last year. You just never know. :)

I have no confidence in Pedro. Remember, the Yankees are his daddy.

I go with sox in 7....This is going to be a roller coaster ride to remeber thats for sure.

I think we're in damn good shape and hope we win in less than 7 games, but these teams just are evenly matched.

I think our pitching is better, and so is our pen. Their manager is far superior and that is a problem.
But when the dust settles and I regain consciousness, these bunch of idiots are going to take those scumbags--once and for all!!

I think the Red Sox will take this one barring something crazy (but hey, it's not like this team never sees crazy shit happen ). The Yankees pitching staff is total garbage, and IMO, the underachieving Yanks offense isn't going to cut it either. 36 HR, 106 RBI and .286 AVG from your 25 million dollar shortst..third baseman? The Yanks defense isn't exactly what I would call 'decent' either.

But then again, they are the Yankees... :(

But the Yankees' are Pedro's daddy. That means they have full control over him. C'mon! ;)

I say the Sox in six. Our offense will shine, and the Yankees pitching will continue to suck.

I said Sox in six I have no idea why I think that.

I'm going with Red Sox in 6. I don't think Schilling and Pedro beat them twice, but I do see Arroyo and Wake coming up big at home. Pedro nuts up for Game 6 knowing it's his moment to shine.

if you remember correctly in alcs game 7 last year, pedro SHUT DOWN the yankees completely. it wasnt until that *deep breath* grady little decision *even deeper breath* that gave up the series. pedro had a great game, and just pitched beyond what he should have. it wasnt his fault, and the yankees certainly didnt own him. pedro gave them strong innings, and grady shoulda taken them, and we paid the price.

Whats the point of voting if your gonna say I have no idea.

Just take an educated guess.

I'm going to say four. I know its not going to happen but...if Curt Shilling pitches godly in game one and our offense hits the hell out of Mussina we'll win. With that momentum going into the next game with Pedro pitching against...?...Brown, Leiber, Vasquez?...They are all either hurt or playing at that level without injury. Basically, if we win the first two games we could sweep the series (even if Mussina pitches Game 4). I have faith in our pitching and if we continue to pitch well we will win. But the first game is crucial, and then the second game. We got this we just need to play the kind of baseball all of RSN knows the boys can play.

More realistically, probably 5.

needed to make this thread alive again. seems like its just as dramatic as last year, i dont know how u can get much more dramatic then playing a game 7 after battling back from being down 0-3 to tie it all at 3.

well Its kinda one sided asking for a poll like this on a Red Sox fan site, but then again I guess it would be the same on a Yankee fan site.

It's true... well, what do you expect from Sox fans!

I have to admit I voted this morning, so I have a 50/50 chance of being right with my prediction.... and I predicted (of course) Sox in 7

What a comeback it has already been. Come on boys.... let's make history!
