Calm down. You are 18 years old. Almost everyone is a fucked up at 18 (or think they are fuck ups). Those who have it together at 18 usually fuck up later. If you are unhappy about things, don't jump to the conclusion that it is because you are a fuck up. I've known plenty of fuck ups that are very happy. ....in all seriousness, most people really do never have it 'all figured out'...interests & desires change all the time and there's no ultimate knowing what you want to do. If it's school/future career you're worried about, perhaps you could take a year off and wander the world a bit before deciding on a course ...not everyone works well going through school lickety split, making decisions before you've even really experienced a lot of what's out there to decide upon.

I would be texting my friends who know what kind of a guy I am and they would take my venting and give me some sort of positive response. Now than I look back on that, I wonder how I could ever possible be unhappy. My dog passed away this summer. After going through something like that, the little things we make big deals over aren't really that bad. There's no reason not to be happy and positive. Look at the bright side of things.

Well, now that I'm feeling a little less shitty than yesterday (still haven't eaten in almost 24 hours, but I assure you there's a good reason for that, other than just sad emo food strike bullshit), what exactly is wrong with Jacoby that makes him so angry?

-I flunked accounting last semester. I can ace it this semester no problem, since I started to really get it towards the end of last spring. But it delays my sequence, and that pisses me off. Also kind of hurts to know I wasted other people's money in the process, but that's probably just my over-concern about stupid shit kicking in.

-3rd party paying (or should be paying) for my tuition. They haven't done it yet. If they don't do it by Friday, I get kicked out of the dorms. I'm legitamitely concerned about that at this point. Yes, I know I'll get a bunch of 'be thankful you're not paying' replies to this.

-My student ID card is a piece of garbage and doesn't work, so I can't get back into the dorms without someone letting me in (thank god the RAs know me). The shit also doesn't work for the dining hall, meaning they can't let me in. Can't fucking do anything. Nobody's willing to fix it until that fucking payment is in. So until that's taken care of, I'm living off of fucking vending machines and waiting near the dorm doors for people to let me in. Oh, and not even leaving the dorms once classes for the day are over. Because I can't. That REALLY fucking pisses me off.

-Don't have enough cash on me for books, even if I buy used. Can't really pick and choose for some classes and not others, because I have two math classes I'll definitely need books for, and I'll assume that in Sports Marketing and Sports Law we'll need books quite a bit. Pretty sure they won't let me get them anyway until that fucking payment is in.

-Nasty fucking sore in my mouth, that makes eating a bitch. So what little I have eaten in the past couple of days or so hurts like hell when I chew it. It also flares up if my open my mouth too far (yawning).

-I can see some issues with my roommate on the horizon. Hopefully I'm wrong, because living with someone, in a single room, you have constant issues with really sucks.

You have to fill it out every year. Get your parents last tax return, and your own. Fill in the information, and you will have enough financial aid to cover your expenses. If you don't mind answering, do you know how much your parents make in a year?

Look at your problems not as a group, but one by one.

- Call the 3rd party and stay on them until you find out the status of the payment. Let them know how it's impacting you. If they give you the runaround, don't be shy about going up the management ladder. Be a squeaky wheel, because once you get the payment in, you solve several problems at once.

- Find someone in your dorm who has anbesol or hydrogen peroxide. Put it on your cancor sore and you will have relief. Also, bum some food off them or go with them and eat on their card until you have your own. You'll owe them, but you're good for it.

- There's nothing you can do about the license or the roomate, so there's no need to dwell on them.

As aggravating as all of those issues are, none of them have anything to do with you having messed up or being messed up, except flunking accounting. As you said, you'll ace it this semester.
