I saw Blow for the first time yesterday on Cinemax or something. I liked it but those types of movies always end the same....sad. Don't deal drugs.

Superbad is in my DVD player. When I send it back to Netflix I'll get Iron Man.

Disc 1 of the first season of the British TV series "Primeval".

What did you think of it? Personally I couldn't get into it and stopped watching it after a couple of episodes.

Torchwood is very good, as too is the show that it's taken from Dr who (although it's not as dark).

Philadelphia is easily in my top 10 movies of all time, Tom Hanks puts in a belter performance.

Right now my DVD player is filled with Star Trek, an absolute brilliant movie if you ask me.

I read on Wikipedia that "Torchwood" is actually an anagram of "Doctor Who". Captain Jack Harkness was such a great character.

It's rare/never happens that the movie is ever as good as the book. Especially where Stephen King is concerned. Love his books.

The two prison stories/books he wrote translated well onto film. The Shawshank Remdemtion and The Green Mile....highly recommend the books AND the movies.

Salem's Lot was a made for tv movie. They can make longer versions for tv which can help where a novel is concerned.

IMHO, the best movie based on a Stephen King story is either "Misery" (Kathy Bates was perfect as Annie Wilkes) or "Stand By Me" (based on the short story "The Body" in the Different Seasons collection).

Have any of you seen this Stephen King TV mini series called Storm of the Century?

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0135659/

I personally think it's one of his best TV works but I'm not sure if it was originally a book or not.

If the upcoming Dark Tower movie is half as good as the books then it should be pretty decent.

The first season of "True Blood". Never seen it before.

Anna Paquin looks good as a blonde.

Also, I knew of the theme song, "Bad Things" by Jace Everett, way before the TV show started. iTunes had it as a free weekly download a few years ago. I give them a listen to see if they're any good. Normally they're crap, but "Bad Things" was a good one so I downloaded it.

I thought NHL 10 was pretty sweet too, but I traded it in and got some $$$ off Fifa World Cup 10 last month. I plan on getting NHL 11 as the Bruins roster will be more accurate having Tuukka's ratings much improved as well as the new draft picks/aquisitions on there too.

I'm a little late to the Call of Duty games (started playing them consistently back in January) and got my first a few days ago. I went with Modern Warfare 1. I've pretty much just played campaign and it's a lot of fun. I passed on Modern Warfare 2 since I've played it tons at a buddies house and wanted something I hadn't seen as much. I'll probably eventually get it for myself though. Black Ops in November is something to look forward to.

I'm on PS3. Those FIFA games are great! I'm pretty good, but I do most of my gaming online and have you ever played somebody that's really good at that game? I think I'd get too frustrated playing it online.

Also, while NHL 10 has just the AHL on it, NHL 11 is going to have the CHL teams and players, so that'll make it a little more realistic in the GM mode.

Oh yeah, I've played plenty of those ridiculously good people online. It's really frustrating at times but I've also beaten some of them too. I'm pretty good, but not an elite player by any means. Have you done the online World Cup? The farthest I've gotten is the Round of 8. It pisses me off that almost everyone plays with Spain, England, Brazil, and Argentina though. I avoid playing with the world powers 99% of the time.

You want to play a game online sometime?
