I'll kick it off with this classic from this side. The lead singer, Suggs, was one of Chelseas top lads I seem to remember.

"Your Love" by the Outfield
Take On Me - a-ha
Is the most 80s song pretty much ever.

Got to have something from Duran Duran and The Cure. Throw something from RUN DMC in there too.
Love Song by The Cure
This Charming Man by The Smiths
Keep On Loving You by REO Speedwagon
Its The End Of The World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine) by R.E.M.
Livin On A Prayer by Bon Jovi
Cyndi Lauper has a record with like... 5 number one hits on it, but never did anything after. Her debut album is very classic 80s
Oh, and everything by the Violent Femmes.
College rock was a huge part of the 80s.
Midnight Oil, The Cure, The Smiths, REM, Sonic Youth, Pixies, Violent Femmes, They Might Be Giants all have excellent 80s songs.
I don't think anyone's mentioned the guy who towered over the 80s kinda like Elvis did in the 50s, MJ. Everything MJ did in the 80s was huge.
Yeah, or the other mega-star, Madonna. If it's my 80's soundtrack, neither make it, but they were the biggest products from the decade.

White Snake- Here I Go Again.
Bon Jovi- Livin on a Prayer
Those two songs get me pumped up.

Cel-e-brate good times, cmon.
The Human League had two huge hits. The Cars were pretty big. Billy Joel, Hall & Oates, The Police, Motley Crue, Poison, Def Leppard. Gary Numan, Devo, A Flock Of Seagulls..

Some cracking mentions above in Bruce Hornsby and the Range (thats just the way it is, yeah some things will never change.. singing it now) Flock of Seagulls, Wang Chung, Human League, Tears for Fears. Good to see there's a few New Romantics on the board, men who weren't afraid of mascara (don't get me wrong I wasn't one of you, I was one of the ones chasing you to kick the shit out of you)
