Assuming all trades go through, the San Diego Padres have gone through what can be considered a pretty substantial rebuilding process. In that process, my team is trying to cut salary, stay young, and put up a decent showing in the NL West in 04.

Players on my roster you can't ask about (because they are gone): Todd Helton, Jose Valentin, Matt Clement, Jim Mecir, Ray Durham, Rusty Greer.

Players I'd still like to move:
Charles Johnson Will accept 1 prospect.
or
Paul LoDuca: Will be harder because he's better AND cheaper, but I will trade him for good young players.

Marty Cordova: Will accept a prospect.

Mike Cameron: A replacement outfielder, a leadoff hitter (can be the same). Depending on the quality of that outfielder, more could be added on either side.

Note: Kip Wells could be had for the right price, but I'll admit he's my ace (sad, isn't it?) so I might ask too much for him.

ALSO: I am in need of a left handed hitter that will crack my lineup. For a decent player, I could accept up to $5million in salary space. Preferred positons: Corner outfielder.

PM is the best way to get me, although at times, I can be found on AIM at: elsrbueno

My team is almost set, but I am interested in upgrading my leadoff man. Preferably a leadoff hitter who can play shortstop or second base would make me happy.

I've been stockpiling young pitching:
Jerome Williams, Jake Peavy, Jimmy Gobble, Kurt Ainsworth, Jon Rauch, Juan Cruz, Jason Marquis, Kyle Lohse.

Kip Wells and Darren Dreifort are up for grabs.

I might move someone if I can get the right deal. I'm mostly satisfied with my team though, and don't feel the NEED to make a trade.

Let me know!
