Is this some joke, wheres Hildalgo?

Hidalgo had a decent year, but even if he was on here I'd take Guerrero over Hidalgo.

It's a moot point, because I voted for Ichiro.

.429 BA, 85 RBIs from the leadoff spot... Not to mention 97 steals. The guy was amazing

I also took Ichiro. He made my team go, but too bad I was kept out of the playoffs, hopefully next year lol.

So retarted...everyones gonna vote for Ichiro cause of his average. Also he didnt win in real life. Theres no point in even voting. I voted for Helton though for soem reason i dont think it showed up. Bias yes, but Ichiro only has average and SBs....Helton is in the top 10s in like everything except SBs...So by all logic he should be the MVP but what can i do...

Helton wins in: 2Bs, HRs, RBIs, SLG%, OPS, BBs, EBH, TB
Ichiro wins in: Hits, AVG, 3Bs, SBs, CS, OBP, RUns(By one)

Ichiro can only get singles and steal bags. Halton can do everything but steal. If Helton couldnt hit HRs, then maybe he woudl have such an average. And Helton was injured for like a week still beating him in several catagories. Also note the 30 some time Ichiro was caught stealing, a 75% is stilll good but my point stands.

My arguement has been placed so i am done for now.

Note: I accidentally voted for Ichiro i think.....since none shows up for Helton so even though i doubt a difference like that will matter, i am stating it for the record.

I am completely biased because Bonds was on my team so I voted for him. But on the other side of it, after looking at shadow's points I would have to say Helton UNTIL I looked again and saw that yes he is right, but Ichiro batted OVER 400 AND BROKE SISLERS RECORD AND HAD 97 STEALS! His argument works until you see how outrageous Ichiro's stats are. If say he batted 360 with 60 steals and 250 hits I might rethink and vote Helton but his stats are just amazing.

vlad-->playoffs
helton-->good, extra long break (read: no playoffs)
ichiro-->good, extra long break

the only one who is actually VALUABLE is vlad in terms of the endgoal is vlad.

I dont think Playoffs really say whether hes valuable or not. Why not put on Lew FOrd or anyone else who made the Playoff roster? Playoffs dont make a difference. My team had INjury plagued and inconsistent Pitching so I got shot down in any chances. He had a team that could make the playoffs, I didnt but that doesnt make him any bit better now does it? So your point doesnt really exist.

I guess you don't really pay attention to real baseball or real awards.

Actually I do, but we arent them doing this in the MLB now are we? Value to a team is only skin deep. My team had some but little chance of making the playoffs due to the team around Helton. Pitt. had a better team, Hitting and pitching which lead them to 90 wins. There Value cant be judged by whether or not they made the playoffs. Without Ichiro they probably still woulda made the playoffs

Since Pittsburgh finished only one game out and you combine that with the fact that it's not every year which a player hits .429, I pick Ichiro.

This was our poll, not the sites.
