We be embarrassed like the last 2 games on national television. A new winning streak starts tonight. Go Wake!

It's kinda cool when the games are broadcast on ESPN, but only when they're in Hi-Def. Anyone know if that's the case tonight? (Personally, I still prefer NESN)

NESN is available in Hi-Def as well on one specific cable provider.

Well, Wake is a complete opposite of what the Rangers saw yesterday so hopefully that'll throw them off. We NEED to salvage this game, Baltimore and New York are on the Sox tails right now. Losing tonight would have me questioning the sox offense (not pitching).

Why? Losing tonight would have me questioning the pitching. Although I do see what you are saying (texas has a mighty potent offense), we cant blame all of the losses on our hitters. Plus wake looks on right now.

On a side note, I hate national broadcasts. Remy and Orsillo know so much more regarding the sox. And I can tell that all they're gonna talk about is the pedro contract thing!

Whats up with Dickey's "thing" pitch. I cant even explain what it does. Its a combination of WHAT pitches again? And how in the hell does he throw it without breaking his arm every time?

Why would you question pitching? Arroyo didn't pitch that bad, and Pedro is a headcase, we know he won't do that every night. It's the hitting, as we just saw, bases loaded, and Mirabelli hits into a double play. Not what I call clutch hitting.

To be fair, I don't think Mirabelli counts for much. We all expected him to hit into the double play, and he doesnt play every day, so he cant be blamed.

But I do see what you are saying. Our pitchers certainly arent tanking, and our offense is not producing nearly enough to win consistently. We need runs to win, and we arent getting them. Whether its because Trot and Nomar are gone, or some other reason, I don't know.

Its ironic though, because its almost the completely opposite of last year, when we were all hitting, no pitching.

I know. I said we couldnt blame ALL of our losses on our hitters. Some blame rests on their shoulders, thats for sure. And Mirabellis sucks. As yeszir said, we were all expecting a dp out of him.

Sorry for the disjointedness of this post, I'm just trying to do 8 things at once.

Come on, we need to put some runs up on the board! I see what you mean ACL, we need hitting dammit!

As for NESN Hi-def, it is available through comcast channel 881 (or 882) for all home games.

Ugg, see what I mean, 14 straight Sox down. This is not the Sox offense we know.

Billy Mueller lets down again. :(

And that'll do it. A clean sweep by the Texas Rangers unless the Sox can make up a 4 run deficit. Now is when i shut off the game.

it's looking pretty glum, 4-0 Tex bottom 8, time to pack the bags for Cleveland. Offense needs to find its groove.

Sox offense tonight = YAWN. Hopefully Schilling can stop the bleeding in Cleveland tomorrow. And even better the Sox bats start showing some pulse. They've made Dickey look awesome tonight.

Dammit. What the hell is going on! We sweep two and then we get swept ourselves. Our offense, as you said Roy, is YAWN!

Man!

On the other hand, if Tek could prove us wrong, I wouldn't complain.... CMON!

I would have told Crespo to go out there and stand there. Nothing he would hit could ever have been productive.

aint it the truth. He could have walked, or gotten hbp. If he got hit, he may have been injured, and that may have led to him not getting to play on the team anymore....

Yeah Crespo let us down, AGAIN, and I keep thinking Tony Womack...But it was more than just Crespo. Players like Mueller are just not coming through with the timely hitting they gave us last year. The offense is sputtering now and it’s getting clear that Manny and Bellhorn, and Tek can’t carry us anymore.

And what about Dickey's "Thing" pitch.
