It has long since been acknowledged that YES is a subpar website.

There they go, complimenting a Red Sox creation, but should any single fan, regardless of knowledge or intellect, venture over there, BAM its a shitstorm.

Edit: Their signatures are also WAAAAAY too big. I can't read a damn thing!

What do you expect trying to post dumb cunts like that wrong?

They think Jeter is good defenseively, they think the Yanks system isn't the worst in the game, and they think Pedro got $17.5 million in arbitration last year. Good stuff.

You know, the fact that they think they know baseball is just funny.

Fielding Runs Above Replacement (33 is average, so don't think these are good because they're above "replacement")
1995: 1
1996: 9
1997: 10
1998: 14
1999: 7
2000: 3
2001: 5

2000: -20
2001: -17
2002: -17
2003: -19
2004: 26
2005: -5 (Prediction)

Rate (Fielding Production, 100 is average)
1995: 85

There is no doubt in my mind he is going to fall back to Earth. You don't just jump that much in fielding value without it being a fluke. Very rarely do you improve in fielding 10+ years into your career.

Going by the stats you posted, BSR, Jeter's "jump" last year isnt even that spectacular. He was below average, still, in Fielding runs above replacement, and just above average in fielding production.

These stats mean nothing to be, however, since im no sabremetrics freak, but if anything proves that Jeter sucks I'm all for it!
