It's time! Who's up? Who's down?

Do the Celts have a chance?

The Celts have the talent to go all the way, and definitely win the East, but I think they fall short in the East finals..

Yeah, I have Miami losing in the first round. I just cant see them beating a Nets team with Richard Jefferson and probably the 2nd best player in April, Vince Carter. Especially with Shaq not being 100%. As you can tell, I am very very high on Jersey. Its very similar to the Conference Finals teams theyve had in the past.

Yeah, I think Dallas will beat Phoenix in the 2nd round. Dallas probably is the deepest team in the league. Phoenix would need all 5 starters to play flawless basketball all 48 minutes of each game to beat Dallas, especially since Dallas is probably the most improved defense in the NBA.

And yeah, I think in a repeat of last years finals, San Antonio will win. They are just too good with Tim Duncan. Theyve got the 2nd best defense in the NBA, the 2nd most dominant player down on the blocks in Duncan, and theyve got 2 other guys in Ginobili and Parker who are capable of putting up 20 points any given night. Theyve also got a very unknown and underrated guy by the name of Beno Udrih, hes capable of coming in and scoring 10-12 points himslef. They also picked up Nazr Mohammed, who has been having a great season. They have the best 1 on 1 defender in the NBA as well in Bruce Bowen

Repeat champions for Detroit. I don't like Miami too much. They have no depth. I feel like the Celts are a better team than them but Boston has to go through Detroit which is the best team in the league for back to back seasons. They have depth all the way through and Tayshaun Prince is going to get most improved player. Look at their starting lineup:
G- Richard Hamilton
G- Chauncey Billups
F- Tayshaun Prince
F- Rasheed Wallace
C- Ben Wallace

G- Carlos Arroyo
G- Lindsay Hunter
F- Antonio McDyess
F- Darko Milicic
C- Elden Campbell
Talk about great starting lineup and great depth. Phoenix has a great starting lineup but not much depth after Jim Jackson. Larry Brown is one of if not the best coaches in the league. Suns vs Pistons, baby.

What's the status on Tim Duncan playing? I thought I heard he might not play at the start or something...

From what I've heard is that he will be playing. If I remember correctly he has been playing in the past few games, and pretty impressively I believe.

April 16 vs Grizzlies
Tim Duncan- 11 pts, 8 rbs, 1 ast in 23 mins. of play

April 18 at Grizzlies
Tim Duncan- 17 pts, 6 rbs, 2 asts in 28 mins. of play

April 20 vs T-wolves

Come on Detroit!!!

Funny thing is, I havent watched much of this years Finals...My team got beat, and I'm not a Pistons fan or a Spurs fan AT ALL! I remember back when the Playoffs started (maybe it was last year...I dunno things run together lol :D ) saying that I would HATE seeing Detroit and the Spurs in the Finals. And here we are...LOL, oh well Go Pistons!!!
