Game is at 7:05 tonight:

Clement (1-0, 3.12 ERA)

vs.

Lopez (2-0, 2.66 ERA)

huge game tonight if there ever was one in april....lopez is nasty right now, and clement has trouble with patient teams.* If he wins this game, then it will be a turning point for him....

10-6 and 1st place in the AL East sounds like a great plan

If Clement can pitch well tonight (throw strikes early and stay ahead of hitters) it would be a huge boost for his confidence and the team's confidence. The O's can hit (just ask the Yankees) and this start comes at a key time in a possibly winning streak. They win tonight and they Wake and Schilling against the D-Rays. That means 9 outta 10 and 12-6 against AL east teams.

Tek called a good game last night and clement should feel good about that. he knows sosa and lopez from the nl and of course they know him. Hope the umps and o's doesn't make it ugly because it could be a pivotal game to get clement's mind in gear....

this is the biggest game of clement's career as of yet i believe
pitching for 1st place against a powerful line up with their best pitcher going..

he best bring it tonite, I realize its April but I am excited about this game and the potential.

They better win, cause my friend who is a Yankee fan is there, and he'll rub it in. Lopez is flat out nasty against us but hopefully we can get it done, I think we can, the pitching is coming around and so is the offense... now lets just rub some of that off on the bullpen...

Whew, nice to get out of that jam. I'm happy with Clement so far...one tough inning but usually they all bounce back and have beast innings. (AKA Wells in Toronto the inning(s) after he gave up those back-to-back-to-back HRs).

And yankeessuck013...WHERE ARE THE DAMN PICTURES LOL. Give it a try...edit your post.

Im pretty sure Stocker is at this game, or was at yesterdays, im not totally sure... yeah, i thought you would all love to know that.

WHOA dudes and dudettes...I gotta tell ya, I am VERY impressed with perhaps the most questioned part of our team...the PITCHING. Wells able to give us 8 UNBELIEVABLE SHUTOUT innings, Clement thus far giving us 7 UNBELIEVABLE SHUTOUT innings...just amazing. These are the pitchers we brought in hoping they would make huge impacts and statements, and that's precisely what they are doing.

The ability of them over the span of last night and this night to get us late into the game while still being able to use them effectively is beyond me. Let's remember here folks, these are the ORIOLES, who ALWAYS give us a hard time...

Also keeping the ball away from our shaky bullpen right now. I hope this is how it can go and what happens....get deep into the game with the starter, and hand the ball to Foulke for the close, or maybe CG if still ready to go.

We are on FIRE right now...I don't see the D-Rays stopping us...

Yes, I know, this game is FAR from over.

Another observation I made...Clement not getting any run support whatsoever and still pitching like he was born for it. Great job is all I can say...wow...

I am very impressed...good to see Matt doing what he's capable of.

I don't think it would be unreasonable to ask Foulke to get a 4-out save, with the mora single, and a hot tejada at the plate, I trust he's gotten his cobwebs out.

I think clement is worried about his pitch count, get him out, he's done more than enough tonight.

NICE!! Way to show Sosa he's the better Cub  . Anyway, Get Clement outta there. He's a beast, yes, but I've had a few heart pounding innings now and I think it's time for Foulke to put this one in the bag.

Haha, just noticed that the Orioles have two guys named BJ on their team...

1-0 games are great when your on the 1 side. it sucks when you get shutout and lose by 1 run. especially when it could have been prevented like in tonights game. But either way good win, great pitching performence tonight by Clement, and first place in the AL East

This was a great win. Clement really stepped up. Foulke bounced back with good velocity. A 1-0 win on an unearned run is a great win.

The O's are gunna be right up there in the standings in September...watch out.

Clement pitched great, thats all there is to it. Its pretty sad though that our lone run came off a groundout... but whatever works, right. We need to get these big bats going. Manny and David need to step it up even more.

Interesting note about yesterdays game you might not have caught: David Wells has pitched 15 straight scoreless innings.

CalvnHobs6

And Clement has thrown 13 straight scoreless.
