7:05 tonight. About 70 degrees with a 30% chance of isolated thunder storms.

http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/images/gameday/mugshots/123801.jpg #49 Tim Wakefield (4-3 4.24) vs.

http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/images/gameday/mugshots/116615.jpg #41 Randy Johnson (4-3 3.94)

Wakefield will be making his 10th start of the year as the Red Sox open a three-game series with the Yankees. Wakefield faced New York in his first two starts of the season, allowing just three runs -- two earned -- on eight hits in 13 2/3 innings. However, he has lost his last two starts.

Johnson looks to rebound after losing his last outing, when he allowed four runs in 6 2/3 innings against the Mets. After two straight starts on the road, the left-hander returns to the friendly confines of Yankee Stadium, where he has a 3.25 ERA in six starts -- nearly two runs lower than his 5.49 mark in three starts on the road.

Ive got a better feeling about this series now that I've had a while to think about it and vent. There is no fucking way that we dont start going ripshit and demolishing anything in our path.

I feel your pain RedSoxRooter, stuck with YES as well. The bastards show no emotion, so on that 2 run homer by V-tek I couldn't tell whether it was going to be a regular flyout or what.

Red Sox- 2 vs. Yankees- 0. C'mon Sox, stop leaving men on....Wake, continue to do your job.

YanksHater213
05-27-2005, 07:47 PM
Man, that ball carried unbelievably far. I thought it was just gonna be a fly out. Great job Tek. Randys pitch count is up around 85 now, so he should only have 1-2 innings left, which is very good. And also, Edgar is absolutely beasting tonight. hes had one hell of a road trip so far.

For those who dont know: 2-0 Red Sox.

B.S. on that last strike three call, but hey...the Yankees get all the national attention anyways, just give them the strike three call so their nationwide fans can be happy.

BTW, was the whole game on ESPN? I was watching YES and didn't switch it over until the game was over and they were showing the end of the game.

Yeah it was, it was blacked out in the Boston area but you probably should have been able to get it. Good thing we have Joe Buck and Tim McCarver broadcasting tomorrow.

Haha, yeah and the ESPN crew broadcasting on Sunday is so much better. It'll be nice having the chance to choose NESN over ESPN when Baltimore comes to town.

Hey, Tex.

We're blacked out for tomorrow's game. I'm stuck with the Braves game and you are probably stuck with the 'stro's game. Clement will of course kick ass so long as I can't see it. :(

Are you serious? Actually, you maybe wrong....atleast here when there are multiple games on I usually get the Sox. The Astros have a 7:05 EDT start tomorrow, I did see though that the Braves are on FOX the same time the Red Sox are so it maybe tough luck on your part. Good luck, though...I hope you get to see it.

[edit: Yeah, the only two games I see for FOX tomorrow are the Yanks/Sox and the Phillies/Braves.]

P.S. yeszir, you slacker: When Fever Pitch came out, I waited 'til after the Sox game was over that Friday to see it. ;)

Ehhhhhhhh... what a shitty game. The good thing is though, that we should have, and would have won. 5 hits in 1 inning and only scoring one run is damn near unaccaptable... and why does Francona persist to put Embree in. I swear to fucking god I predicted that homer. When Sheff hit it, I said "Yup". Francona needs to learn how to shake things up (Example: Yankees). We need Youkilis playing everyday, somewhere. We need Millar not to play. We need Embree to keep his ass down in the bullpen. I still cant believe hes done nothing yet.

Sorry man. What pisses me off is that it's even blacked out on the internet at MLB.com which I subscribe to for like $70/year. It's also blacked out on MLB Extra innings, which I pay $170/year for.

The only way to catch the game is on MLB Radio and the quality sucks! I don't understand why it sucks so bad. The WEEI radio stream sounds great, but the stream off of MLB is terrible.

Wow, yeah I have the MLB Extra Innings as well and can understand them blocking it there, but they're blacking it out on MLB.TV too? They must really want to keep fans of the Red Sox anywhere but the northeast from watching the game.
