Is anyone else constantly being shocked? It seems that no matter what I do I always get a healthy dose of electric current through my body. Turning of a light switch, opening a door, moving my desk chair, even adjusting the thermostat, I always get shocks. It's so damn annoying!

I am getting shocked too. It's been happening for a while too, at least a few months. It seems to happen more now than it has ever before too. Explanations anyone?

Me too. Actually, the other day on the radio (FNX) they had an interview with some MIT professor. He said that this year was especially dry, which was causing a larger buildup of static electricity. It's crazy!

this is a two year old thread, but I have to comment on this. It bugs me soooo much. I hate it.

I have a question. Why was this thread dug up?

Because apparently static electricity bothers monstah27.

I don't even know why a 2 year old thread titled "static electricity" was appealing to him. :dunno:

I think the real question here is... why wouldn't it be appealing to him? Had I known that there existed such a thread, it'd have been dug up ages ago.

I guess he was bored. I used to go way back in the first few pages of a forum and read ancient threads when I was fairly new here.

Or he was on the "Who's Online" page, then he saw a Yahoo! Slurp Spider reading that particular thread.

The office I work in has a large problem with static electricity. You can't open a door without getting shocked.

Gosh, Roary really hated static electricity. It's too bad about what happened to Roary. You know, the whole synechocystis deal.

I always get zapped when I get out of my car. It happens EVERY time I get out of the seat and touch the door. I know it's coming. I take it like a man.

I happy this thread came back up. I was wondering if I was the only person that had this problem.

Because events such as these occuring on 6/6/06 must mean something.
