Through 6 innings, his numbers:
1 H, 1 BB, 0 ER, 9 K. He's thrown 90 pitches.

Clemens is the best pitcher in the game today, that's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

Has he thrown at Piazza yet?

But damn, those numbers are lights-out. Even if he blows it for the rest of the year he deserves to be cy young, again.

He's still got a 1 hitter going. What he's doing at his age is unheard of. He's only gotten better. I've never seen him pitch like this in his entire career, not even during the cy young years.

I wonder what it is that is making such an impact on him? Is it being closer to home? Who knew that seeing your family more often could improve your game so drastically.

His final numbers
7 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 1 BB, 10 K's.

And nothing to show for, Octavio Dotel gave up two runs in the 9th to tie the game, it's still going in extra innings now. Clemens threw 106 pitches.

Piazza vs Clemens: 0-2 with a walk and a strikeout.

Dotel didn't just give it up to anyone, he gave it up to Piazza. :D
