Hi all. Just wanted to know your opinion of Francona. Obvious;y not the best tactical mind in baseball. But, baseball is not football. It is mostly an individual game of pircher vs. batter with other marginal elemnets thrown in. Is it better to keep your individuals happy, or manage by sitauation, damn the "feelings" of the player?

Manage by situation. Players will get their playing time they just need to be patient and know what's better for the team. I've had my moments with Francona, but he brought us a WS championship so I lay off every now and then.

I like his press interviews on TV.

He reminds me so much of Patrick Star. It's freakin hilarious.
