Kim bound for Korea

The Red Sox confirmed that Byun Hyung Kim will return to Korea to have his ailing back examined by a specialist there. The righthander has been experiencing back and hip pain, which forced him to miss an outing in Pawtucket last Saturday.

I think he'd have less back and hip pain if his teammates stopped dragging him out blindfolded in the middle of the night and beating him up.

Some people see this as a kick in the ribs, that Kim didn't trust the sox doctors so he went back to Korea to get a second (and maybe third?) opinion.

But I don't really think its that big of a deal. Players do it all the time. Manny's done it and so has Pedro. As for Abu Ghraib, it took me a second to get that. :D

Too bad they don't have any good doctors in Boston.

Do you know if he came back to the states, or if he's staying over there for a while, or what?

I am pretty sure he is in Korea still. I went to a PawSox game awhile back and I didn't even see him in the bullpen.
