Johnny says:
They're just still jealous that I'm not here anymore. I know they'd still love to have me here. They traded me and I've been in a better situation for the past four years. I've been winning a lot of games. I won 102 games [in 2001 with Oakland], 93 the following year, then 95 [last season], and we're going to win another 95 this year so I'm in a good situation

Hopefully we can count on Schill. If he fails us, who can we count on? He hasnt lost since may 13th, so I'm confident in his ability to beat the lowly Royals.

Anyway, sox up 2-1. Very nice. We need to claw back at the yankees, seeing as how they lost.

Wow back to back triples. I have never seen that before. I'm betting Pokey just doubled his slugging percentage.

Phew! Glad to get a win out of the way. Maybe we can go on a little win streak now. That would be nice. Lowe gets his stuff back tomorrow.

I hate how Tito is using Foulke in any and every situation. We may need him tomorrow in a close game, and he may not be up to snuff because he pitched tonight.

Foulke needed some work. He'll be even better tomorrow if he needs to come in having already had an inning under his belt tonight. It's better to pitch one inning after pitching one innings the day before than coming in after not pitching in 4 days (at least for a reliever).

A few thoughts

1) Foulke likes to work at least semi-regularly. If that's what keeps him happy and efficient, then that's what Tito should be doing. Plus DiNardo and Martinez had been worked alot lately, and Embree could always use a little break.

2) Bellhorn over Pokey when Nomar comes back is becoming more and more obvious as Bellhorn's hitting improves. I believe he's up to .267 now.

3) We did not suck tonight. Enough said.

A few thoughts on your thoughs

1) True, closers cant just pitch in save opportunities because theyll get rusty and not pitch well like you said

2) Very True, I have been a Bellhorn believer since the start. I always knew he would play good, but not this good. He deserves to start. He has reached base in 49 of 53 games this season. He is batting .361 in his last 14 games.

3) True, Of course we didnt suck.
