Where's the love for college football? I've been waiting for this day all summer (yes, I know South Carolina played on Thursday, but look at all the football)!

A few nationally televised games later today:

(1)USC v. Hawaii, 7:05 PM ET on ESPN2
(4)Michigan v. Northern Illinois, 3:30 ET on ABC
(16)Auburn v. Georgia Tech, 8:45 PM ET on ESPN
(18)Boise St. v. (13)Georgia, 5:30 PM ET on ESPN
(17)TEXAS A&M v. Clemson, 8:00 PM ET on ABC
(22)Boston College v. BYU, 3:30 PM ET on ABC

Another game I'm interested in:

MAINE v. nebraska, 7:00 PM ET (Go Black Bears, put 40 on 'em!)

Just a short listing of some good games, and in bold is the game I'll be living and dieing for. Unfortunately, our first high school game is tonight so I'll have to tape it. If anyone wants to posts a listing of some of the New England colleges getting underway, that'd be great as well. Good luck to BU, UMass, Northeastern and Brown as well today.

Eh I'd rather watch Blake-Nadal than any of the aforementioned games. But these will probably all be routs, once it gets into conference play then college football starts getting exciting. But that Texas-Ohio St. game next week should be good and I want to watch Vince Young.

There is an absolute barn burner right now going on in Wisconsin on ESPN.

Wisconsin 35
vs.
Bowling Green 35

That is the halftime score. Omar Jacobs, BG's junior QB, is shredding the Badger defense (19/28 292 4-0) Brian Calhoun, Wisc's JC transfer RB, is sliding through BG's D like a knife through hot butter (21 168 3TD).

Update: 42-35 Wisconsin in the 3rd. Calhoun: 25 carries, 189 yards, 4 TD

Wish I could've seen the end to that one (OU losing...practically nothing is better).

And all this Saturday needs to be complete, is for a NE QB to make a completion. I forgot what that looked like. :(

ABC is showing the halftime show of the ND game. Wow, Weiss turned that offense around.

Geez, what a horrible end to the A&M game (from my standpoint). A fourty-two yard field goal to win it 25-24. :thumbdown

I saw that, It boggles my mind why A&M didn't go for the 2 point conversion.

Brady Quinn is a pretty good QB, and that halfback on the Irish is one hell of a player. Notre Dame can win a few games this year.

I remember one of the ESPN analysts, Corso, the old mean guy (anti-thesis of Dickie V ), predicting that ND could go 0-6. They still have a monstrous schedule though. Bowl game will be pretty lucky.

Meh, I hope Taylor's first outing was just a little hiccup.

I've been trying to figure that one out since the game ended, last night. A one point lead is no different than a two point lead in that spot -- so they had nothing to lose. Just bad coaching by a usually solid coach.
