Thats not option number one and I hope they dont do it. I still think the best place for them to play would be at LSU if possible or the Alamodome

I would think the league would not allow this due to the unfair advantage the home teams would recieve over the other teams in the league and their respected division. They will play at one of the mentioned sites for sure!

WOW I am very surprised. I wonder what "put us behind the 8 ball" meant? They are going to get so much love anywhere they go!

They want to play thier games somewhere in LA but the financial condition of the state will probably prevent that from happening.

I read on another message board that it was mentioned during the Florida State/Miami game that they'd be tearing down the Superdome -- did anyone else see this? Because I see no mentioning of it online, so I'm a little hesitant to believe it.

I'm watching Night Line now and they just interviewed the management company that runs the Superdome. He said that would have to be torn down and totally rebuilt.

Well if thats the case then I strongly doubt the Saints will ever be returning to NO. The owner has wanted to move the team for years now and this just gives him a reason to do so. I think it's really the worst possible time for the Saints to leave. It's kinda like breaking up with a girl after she gets a disfiguring scar on her face.

Actually, I believe the owner of the Saints has been threatening to move the team
if he doesn't get a new stadium. If the Saints can get a new stadium, they can try and play in Death Valley for the time being, possibly, and it may actually save the NFL in New Orleans, for the time being.
Or, if the Saints were to relocate, I'm sure they'd be given an NFL franchise when New Orleans is fit to house one, again.
It's a tough break. The revenue a professional football team produces would be great for the city, but it's just not possible to play games there, for the time being.

Jim Haslett has characterized his team as being "behind the eight ball" because of the league's decision to have his displaced club play its "home" opener at Giants Stadium on Sept. 19. And there remains a chance that New Orleans will play at least one more scheduled home game, most likely the Oct. 2 matchup with the Buffalo Bills, in its opponent's stadium.
I hope the proceeds from the game go to the relief effort or to the Red Cross.
They should make food/clothing/first-aid/monetary donations mandatory for entry to the stadium as well.
