Pick-6 for MSU to start the 2nd half, 31-17 Spartans. It seems to me, based on my recollections, that the lower rated team in this series has come up big several times.

Should that have been a safety to end the Notre Dame game? I pin that loss on Maurice Stovall... dumb penalties and costly drops.

And now as I watch, Michigan State players plant a flag on Notre Dame's field.

Hate to break it to you Michigan State... no matter where you plant your flag -- you're not Notre Dame and you will never be Notre Dame.

His forward progress was across the line, but when he got hit, he got hammered back into the endzone.

Husker fan, right?

I know backhanded compliments are the only thing people like to give to their conference foes, but the 'Horns are the real deal this year. Doubt they, or anyone else, will beat USC this year, but I wouldn't be shocked if they are at the Rose Bowl and making a game of it.

Now, what's really impressive is back-to-back 45-0 drubbings of their opponents by the VT Hokies. That's right, I root for castrated turkeys.

Yeah. Ok. So my line can’t block…they can’t even line up properly…and the final two minutes of the game…

I don’t really “hate” Texas – maybe their baseball program because they’re so darn good, but that’s more of a compliment even, than an insult. Young has fantastic potential; however, it just had to be said that last year, save for the bowl game against Michigan, he was still very much a work in progress.

And while Mack Brown has been impressive against non-conference opponents (own Big Ten, Eleven, I guess), the math doesn’t add up that he’s never won a conference title. He’s great at bringing in booster revenue. But never beating Oklahoma in what, five tries? So this is his best, BEST shot…heck, I’ll take them over the Sooners and Stoop[-ed]! ;)

No lead is really that big in college football. And I can sort of see case for this, because in the twisted BCS system, big “blow-out” wins factor into voters’ (and computers’?) minds…however, I think it’s a bit ridiculous when say, Jason “Bad Knees” White goes for a quarterback sneak in the forth quarter, when they were leading by, 40-3 last year or something like that. (Yeah, it was against Nebraska, in Norman, must they rub it in?!) Puh-leez. <_<

It’s their prerogative to that, I suppose. No complaining when asses are to handed by a “good” opponent, though.

Mack Brown can't coach, but he's not on the field to make the plays. He's like the Jim Boeheim of college football. Recruits so well it isn't funny, but can't steer the ship to the promised land (although Jimmy did win one championship on the back of Carmelo Anthony).

Vince Young is a work in progress, but he has that special ability to make the play that needs to be made.

Which is why he'll be around, even if the 'Horns choke to Chokelahoma over and over (something that would never happen in NE - simply unacceptable).

Heard something about rumblings in the USC backfield...some players are grumbling about not enough playing time. Ya think?

We almost showed them what it was all about...17 unanswered points. But then hell broke loose. Argh. BC can definitely compete though.

Are you joking me?

You bring Vince Young into the loudest stadium in all of college football, with 85,000 fans yelling as loud as possible (will be there this year) he will pull the same old UT crap and choke. I don't care what texas is ranked or how much national media this guy gets, it's Kyle Field and it's still Mack Brown at the helm.

No doubt. Gave the Noles a hell of a matchup and then won a tough road game at Clemson. BC is definitely a good team. They can compete in the ACC.

I really wanted to head up for the game a few weeks ago, oh well, 2007 I guess(I go to FSU, btw).

Hahah it was funny because, even after the game, the 'Noles fans were still there in a completely empty Alumni Stadium doing that tomahawk arm thingy. Was funny :D Can't wait until my high school team plays on that field in two weeks!!!!
