Has anyone seen it? I've heard good things, but I want some opinions from like-minded individuals such as yourselves. I may go out and see it this weekend.

I really liked the first 2 Potter films. I hear the 3rd is a lot darker and more "grown up". Should be good. I'm waiting for the DVD release. Same with Kill Bill - I want to watch Vol 1 & 2 on the same weekend (I'm holding off on seeing Vol 1).

Now, I don't think you can get any more different pair of movies as Harry Potter and Kill Bill. The former is childish (but fun) sorcery while the other is stylized brutality. My 13 year old sister loves the Harry Potter movies, but she couldn't stand a second of Kill Bill. You must have a varied taste in music.

Well...Im mixed opinioned on it. I love Harry Potter....I'm one of those crazy people that dressed up and waited till midnight to get the Fifth book.

But this third movie, made me a bit sad in some ways. The new director cut out a few things, rearranged the entire movie so it doesn't follow the book. It was hard for me to follow when so much was left out, it made me sad.

But if you're not diehard and your a muggle, you'll enjoy this movie. I mean it wasn't BAD per se, but I don't think it lived up to the first and second one with Chris Columbus's direction.

I'll still buy it and it was still good....just, it wasn't done the way I personally would have done it.

But Alan Rickman in a dress is classic.

Did you seriously just use the word "muggle" in a normal conversation? :P

I saw it, it was cool. It was by the guy who directed "Y to mama tambien", which is weird, consider Harry Potter tends to be somewhat of a kiddie thing and mama tambien was essentially a dumbed down porno.

Of course I do, but i'd never use the word "mudblood" because it's foul and rude.

I saw it and it was pretty good. I liked the way it was filmed, but I think they had to cut way too much from the book to keep it the right length. I would be really hard to follow if you hadn't read the book because it doesn't explain a lot of important stuff. I doubt I'll want to see the next one.

THat being said, it worth seeing if you like the books and liked the other two movies. (IMO)

Well, I saw it, and I can say its the best one yet. Pretty cool, especially since I barely remembered anything from the book.

I have yet to see a porn that was intelligent. Can porn get any dumber? This part goes in here and you move until it feels good, then you repeat that... Nevermind.

Every once and awhile I'll watch some of those softies on Cinemax or Showtime just to get a laugh out of it. New guy in the office building, "Hi, I'm Tom"... "I'm Jessica".... next minute shes laying on the desk with her legs spread and his face all up in that...obviously, the point of the "story" isn't to have a great deal of mental capacity, but it's still hilarious.

Uh, I guess this thread is in "General Off-topic chat", so it's OK to go from Harry Potter to, ah, less kiddie-friendly movies in only two posts... 'Off-topic' is the name of the game, right?
