im thinking the Raiders will beat the Broncos because the Broncos are 1-2 on the road, and the Raiders are 2-2 at home which is bad, but i think they will beat em.

Well, one game was that awful showing against the Dolphins, and the other was a game that they should've won against the Giants. They completely outplayed the Giants and if Plaxico Burress hadn't mastered the skill of getting away with PI, they would've won the game.

yeah, i watched the Giants game. I didnt catch the Dolphins game though. But if the Raiders could stop the run game, and completly stop Jake plummer (which is a surprise this year) i think they can beat them.

But I'm not so sure they can stop either.

And on the other side of the ball, the Broncos are going to blitz the hell out of Kerry Collins.

I dunno, the Broncos haven't looked too great on the road this year -- but that's been the case the past couple of years and they've still had lots of success in Oakland.

yeah for sure, im thinking either Mike Anderson or Tatum Bell will bulldoze over them. but i'd like to see the Raiders pull an upset.

Was that on the very last play of the half?

The Giants/Vikings game is interesting. The Vikings have a 21-13 lead on the strength of two special teams TD's, and an INT return for a TD.

yeah it was when nedsomethin, missed the feildgoal with 3 sexonds left, and you actually got to see Brian Urlacher's speed on this play. but yeah it was 3 seconds before intermission.

patriots though with their defense giving up like 370 yards, blah, they held the williams/brown combo to just a combined 77 yards :). the Red Zone defense as well was having me think back to the past few years of the dominant defense new england has been backed up. Ellis Hobbs stands out as the defensive breakthrough. Heath "Where Did He Come From?" Evans was the breakthrough for the running game.

podsednik20

i kind of want the Vikings to win also, because then if the redskins lose then the Cowboys will have a chance to be on top of the NFC east for sure tomorrow. But thats if they win

Posednik, I was wrong, so far.

The Raiders have done a pretty good job defensively against the Broncos. Held them scoreless in the first (which is a big deal, when playing the Broncos). Though, the Broncos did just score on the first play of the 2nd half.

podsednik20
11-13-2005, 05:01 PM
lol, yeah im watching it. im seeing if Bell will produce since i started him. but um Kerry Collins already threw an INT, heh but if the defense wasnt doing good this game, i think the Broncos would have 21 already.

Big win for the Pats today, Ellis Hobbs really emerged as a dependable cornerback and the linebackers also had a solid game as well. It really made up for the mediocre showing by the Pats offense today. Heath Evans looked great in the 1st half running the ball, but seemed to slow down back to his normal self in the 2nd half. And as usual Brady does it in the clutch. ;)

Huge win for the Pats.

Had they lost, they would've been tied with the Dolphins in the Division, right?

yeah it wouldve been a crazy 3 way tie with the dolphins and bills at 4-5

things are looking good for next wknd, the lowly saints at gilette stadium

podsednik20
11-13-2005, 05:14 PM
no, they would be just above the dolphins, because if the dolphins would have won they would have put them at 4-5 and that would have put the pats at 4-4. so yeah just barely above the Dolphins, if the Dolphins would have won.

This Broncos/Raiders game is starting to get ugly... for the Raiders, of course.

20-0 midway through the third, and the Broncos defense hasn't been giving Oakland much to work with.

Broncos were a 3 point favorite... I was going to bet on the game. I should've. Oh well, hindsight is 20/20, right?

podsednik20
11-13-2005, 06:07 PM
ehh, the raiders still have a chance at getting back. the Broncos defense si just liek the Cowboys, they cant finish the game. Which is saddening in a way. Just like the Bronco- Giants game.

Raiders just started to get a drive going, but Collins threw an INT. Broncos have this one in the bag, I'd say. Their offense has looked good, today.

Add a Rod Smith fumble and we got a game, now.

My interpretation of the rule was that the ground can't cause a fumble, whether you're done by contact or not. Guess not.

Big Defensive stand for the Broncos D, holding them to a FG.

Flashbacks of last years game in the snow against the Raiders. If we can convert on 3rd down, particularly third and shorts, we should be able to win it.

podsednik20

either a fumble, or an Interception. which evern, they just need to score again, too bring it close.

Almost threw one there, hehe.

The difference between this year and some of the others is that he doesn't try TOO hard to make plays. He's starting to figure out that he doesn't have to make plays for the Broncos to win, but that he does have to avoid big mistakes for them to have a chance.

These Broncos rookies have been absolutely amazing.

Against the Eagles, when they needed a turnover, Dominique Foxworth had a HUGE INT and the Broncos hang on for the win. Today, the Broncos need a turnover, and Darrent Williams gets an INT returned 80 yards for a TD.
