This is what the Yahoo feed looked like:

FLORIDA PITCHER JOSH BECKETT HAS SIX STRIKEOUTS THROUGH TWO INNINGS.

FLORIDA PITCHER JOSH BECKETT HAS EIGHT STRIKEOUTS THROUGH THREE INNINGS.

FLORIDA PITCHER JOSH BECKETT LEFT THE GAME IN THE TOP OF THE FOURTH INNING WITH AN UNDISCLOSED INJURY.

FLORIDA PITCHER JOSH BECKETT LEFT THE GAME IN THE TOP OF THE FOURTH INNING WITH AN INJURY TO HIS LEFT SIDE.

Struck out 8 in 3 innings fresh off the DL, and got injured. He is now listed as day-to-day.

AHHH!!! Why is Yahoo screaming at me!?!? Damn CapsLock.

That's very unfortunate for Beckett. I still stand by my conviction that the Marlins have the best rotation in baseball when fully healthy, but that's been the problem thus far.

My guess is a strained rib-cage and he'll be OK for his next start.

Damn, he struck out 8/9, he's on my fantasy team, and now he's injured again. WTF Beckett!

I wonder if he's going to act like a baby and lash out at the trainers again...

He gets way too much attention, IMO.

When you're the world series MVP I think you deserve the attention.

Yeah, and he got plenty of it. Enough already... he hasn't even pitched one full season yet, and he's been average this year. He's 21-21 lifetime with a 3.43 ERA... the hype needs to cool down a little bit.

Beckett has good stuff, but he dominated on 3 days rest without having to even hit the minimum of 162 IP for a starter during the season. Watch in October this season, Mark Prior will be fresh and in mid-season form, absolutely DOMINATING. Same for Kerry Wood.

Great point...but if Beckett stays out long enough, he's going to have a fresh arm too. I'd attribute part of his stellar performance in last year's playoffs (and Mark Prior's, too) to midseason injuries.

Yes, but Florida isn't making the postseason this year. Like I've thought from Opening Day, they don't have the same team they did last season and the Phillies will overcome them. The Cubs will win the Central without question, and I'm *hoping* both San Francisco and Los Angeles can get playoff berths, just because I think it'd be interesting and good for baseball if they both got into the postseason and possibly met in the NLCS, with the Sox/Yanks back in the ALCS. I'd rather have that going on than the little Cubbies winning anything although I honestly don't see L.A. having enough firepower in their rotation or lineup; if they do manage to get a lead, it is OVER with Mota and Gagne. San Fran on the otherhand, has the best pitcher... and hitter in the game.

looked like he was on his way to 20 K's.
