This team stinks and to make this all worse my neighbor is a HUGE MFY fan so every day" hey how are you beloved sox now smarty pants" he says that because i told him we would win the WS in 2004, but the way this team is going BS it will be 2008 before they win a WS again.

Also I think tito should toughen up or get the hell out of town god darnit. He sucks!!!!!!!!!!!

Tonite's Lineup:
J. Damon cf .293
M. Bellhorn 2b .261
D. Ortiz dh .306
M. Ramirez lf .333
J. Varitek c .280
K. Millar rf .272
D. McCarty 1b .224
K. Youkilis 3b .298
P. Reese ss .256
Petey PITCHA

I like the give nomar a break tactic. I hate the "let millar continue to live" tactic. Oh well. Glad to see Youki back in there.

Damn, no Trot. That's the only reason Millar's in there tonight. I guess Trot's leg isn't getting any better.

On a positive note, Bill Mueller will be back in the lineup tomorrow. I read that they are considering sending either Youkilis or Crespo down. If they REALLY have to think about that one, then Theo and Co. aren't as smart as I thought they were.

Man this sucks. After being subjected to that totally gay broadcaster beside Chris Berman on ESPN last night, I'm forced to watch the YES feed tonight.

I presume that Millar is playing because Nixon has always sucked against LHP, and why bother risking that he tweak anything more when he's not likely to contribue much offensively? We'll see him off the bench if we're close late in the game against Gordon or Rivera.

Jason Varitek has struck out in six consecutive at bats.

07-01-2004, 07:11 PM
tek sucks, he doesnt have a clue up there. Those swings are awful. Millar blows...
Nomar is a fucking fag.

Give me the dominican players and pokey, and even mccarty and get rid of the rest. Maybe schilling.

They look so flat. So bored , and so bad.

Nomar is a prick.

I can't believe that the Sox cannot hit the rookie. Jesus H. Christ.

Pedro just whiffed the side, but that doesn't make up for giving up a homerun to TONY FUCKING CLARK!

damon just whiffed.

My dinner is about to come up.

This should have been the game where we torked it up. Took it to them.
We look like zombies. The dugout looks asleep.

Cowboy up?

Hello!

It's not the hair dye that counts, it's playing to win.

Too early in the season for this but somebody needs to step up..

Well, I havent seen any parts of the game, but a 3-2 score doesnt seem that bad. Don't discount the team quite yet, the season isnt half over yet.

sarasoxfan
07-01-2004, 08:03 PM
okay 3-3, but doesnt it just figure it comes on a double play.

This is it fella's.

A gritty comeback, and a win would be just what the doctor ordered.

JMDurron

Leskanic showed us that he still has stuff left in the tank, though. Any real RF gets to that ball before it gets to the wall.

Hey guys,
I was far to depressed to post after the loss last night (even though I was on the board to the end). I've had some time to sleep on it, and ya know what?

This loss wasn't THAT bad. Sure, its a lot more heartbreaking than an 11-3 loss, but for the most part, the Sox played very well last night. With a healthy Trot out there (or even Kapler for that matter) that double's an out, and we (sox fans) are celebrating.

I still have hope. How can't I? We aren't even half-way through the season yet.

We can't give up!

vaman61
07-02-2004, 08:09 AM
I agree with ELS. The team is still viable. They were in Yankee Stadium - that Den of Hatred - after 2 awful games and lasted until the wee hours of the AM. That shows some strength. Yes, the team is on life-support BUT last night they were without some keyplayers as noted above. It's OK. Really, chill people!

elsrbueno
07-02-2004, 08:38 AM
Despite the tough loss, these players should leave with the piece of mind that they just played one hell of a game against the best team in baseball!

That's reason for hope.
