My father asked me this before, so I figured I'd ask you. Not including health or all that, as a Sox fan, who do you want playing on your softball team for a Sunday afternoon game.

(I'm not going to give you a hard time over today's game, I promise. I can kind of imagine, but not fully. I don't know how it is to be the Red Sox. I'm the other side, and as much as I would like to understand, I cannot empathize. If Pedro didn't hit Sheffield I would feel bad for you guys. I almost do. Vent how you feel about it here)

Fuck Nomar. Fuck him for not being a teammember. Fuck him for not hitting. Fuck him for not fielding. Fuck him for not throwing. Fuck him for getting hurt. Fuck him for bitching about A-Rod. Fuck him for not being a professional.

But most of all...

Thank God he didn't take that 4 year, $60 million dollar contract.

I hate Jeter....but mostly I hate him because he plays for the Yankees, honestly.

That catch last night was pretty amazing. Gotta give him props for that.

two years ago...this isn't even a discussion, because Nomar wins hands down.

It burns my ass to say this....but I'm picking Jeter.

I cant out fuck Zenny, but I agree with all of you. I hate friggin Jeter, but man, he gives it all and he is a cheerleader. Nomar is a stuck ujp pussy. The most exciting game and an important one against the yankees, and he cant even get off his fuckin ass to join his teammates to cheer.

That game said it all...what a heartbreaker.

You know someone mentioned walker, I miss him. Bellhorn is another zombie...

Since Nomar got back the chemisty on the team has imploded.

<holding my nose> Jeter hands down

oh and by the way...Yanks Hater...I'm afraid to say that at this point I think Nomar is a bigger faggot.

One thing you have to point about Jeter (keep in mind how much I hate him because he's a Yankee)

This guy plays his ass off out there. He isn't even the most talented shortstop in his CLUBHOUSE but he plays 110% and all he cares about is winning. He's never the center of controvercy. He's a clubhouse leader and a leader on the field.

Jeter is a big reason why the Yankees are so good. He makes unbelievable plays with the game on the line...plain and simple. He steps his game up to the next level when his team needs it.

He's a winning player and he's a class act. Too bad he plays for the wrong team!

I am not going to resort to name-calling.... But Nomar really should suck it up and just f-ing play. He should realize he gets paid millions of dollars to play a GAME....

it wasnt that amazing. sure it was a good catch, but was the diving into the stands necessary?

It's the overall effort, YanksHater. You have to respect the fact that he goes all-out, all the time.

i do respect the fact that he goes all out, and that it was a great catch. but as i said before, the diving into the stands was completely unnecessary. ive seen the replay about 50 times, and not once did he look close enough to have to dive into the stands

Hey A- Rod 2..., go screw. This is talk sox, not brag about the Yanks. Let's see if you make yourself known when we knock your precious Yanks out of the playoffs and send this 'dynasty' into a downward spiral.

By the way, Sheffield is a whining little bitch. And so is Jeter. So they got hit by pitches, suck it up. The Sox have seen plenty of there own.

The only respectable player in the whole Yankees franchise is Jeter (I hate to say it but it's true.) Everyone else is either on 'roids (Giambi), a whinebag (Sheffield, Posada) or overpaid (A-Rod). At least the Sox have some class.

Chill buddy. I could have talked a lot more shit about the Red Sox overall right now, but I spared you that.

I understand you are bitter about the fact you just got swept by the Yankees, so I won't be too hard on you. But I'd like to see you go up there and get hit twice and not be pissed off. Especially because they were both definitely intentional. Say all you want about the Yankees being whiners or overpaid crybabies, but they proved last night they are a team, somthing Boston is very far from right now.

And trust me, I'll be here when Mariano records the last out in October baseball. ;)

yes, i think a-rod2212 has been very respectful toward us so far. he may be a yankee fan, but he knows what he is talking about. he could have been an ass about everything, but he has acted very respectfully

Yup, arod is a good yankee fan. :D

Anyway, I'd rather have Nomar because a vote for Jeter is a vote for the yankees. Hatred for Jeter is so engrained in my personality because he is a YANKEE. Plus I think he's overrated. Nomar is not as bad as he is playing now, and I know that he'll make up for it in the future (but will it be too late?).

I cant make a decision against Nomar based on one month in which he has done poorly coming off an injury. Likewise, Jeter sucks. Duh.

After hearing about nomar I hate to say this... but I hate Jeter. I vote for Nomar.

Oh, and I know I may get scorched for this, but the honeymoon with Bellhorn is over for me. OBP remains pretty good, but way, way, way too many strikeouts.

Not from meeeeee!!! Finally!!! B) Welcome brother.
