This is getting a little bit ridiculous. Well, at least the team's getting younger with all these Minor Leaguers. Winning against the Yankees must feel extra special right now. (can you sense the sarcasm?)

220,000,000.00 in payroll doesnt buy a lot of depth these days does it

I agree with this 100%. Take the game in New York a while back when Melky flubbed the fly ball in the wind. Dustan Mohr made a tough play in the wind the very next half inning.

Depth is measured by having a proven MLB player (Mohr) rather than having to bring up a guy like Melky Cabrera.

i was waiting for this to become official, since it was known a while ago about Chacons injury.

Good thing is that this means more starts for Small

Two things have played a big role in the Yankees finishing in 1st to the Sox 2nd in the AL East the last 8 years. One, the Yankees had a shut-down closer. Two, the Yankees had better relative health than the Sox did. Through the first quarter of this season, it appears the shoe is on the other foot. Circle of life, or whatever, but it all evens out eventually.
