all i can say is...IT FEELS DAMN GOOD TO BE HOME. we got pedro pitching tonight, the hot m's with their new AAA players against the M's, and tonight looks good. i say we at least take the wild card lead tonight. i think foulke will settle down (even though hes already blown as many saves as his season total from last year). yanks take on toronto...not sure about that one. im confident about this homestand, if we get a sweep of the yanks, which would be nice and is quite possible if we get the defense and offense down, which we have to rely on a lot for the upcoming yankee series, as we have contreras and their other low pitchers, thankfully not their ace vazquez, as he is pitching on the 21st too. this means we will have arroyo, lowe and schilling (in some weird order) for the yankee series. remember we have the double header on teh 22nd.

GO SOX!

Is Pedro really going to pitch on Sunday?? That would make my weekend...I was able to score tix from the Red Sox box office yesterday afternoon and thought I'd have to suffer through another Derek Lowe outing...

From everything I hear on Bedard, he's a good prospect who looks to be having a good year. Is it me, or do the Sox typically struggle against LHP? Does anyone have any stats to refute/support that theory of mine?

Should be a low-scoring game, and Baltimore's a pesky crew.

Pedro is 6-0 and home, and tonight it will be 7-0.

He isn't. It'll be Schilling, Arroyo, Lowe.

thankfully not their ace vazquez

That's pretty sad when their ace has an ERA north of 4.

We had problems last year with the O's and they seemed to have carried over to this season. It's really starting to piss me off. We need to win these games when we play teams in the East. We should be pounding the crap out of them (baltimore, tampa bay, and toronto)

This team is hopeless.

Seattle beat Oakland still in first, remember in august last year we were trailing the mariners for the Wild Card so don't panic yet.

we may have been trailing, but last year's team knew how to win baseball games. last year's team looked like it cared about winning baseball games. this team doesn't care either way whether it wins or loses, as long as they collect fat checks.
