Red Sox today acquired Ricky Gutierrez today from the Cubs for a player to be named later. He will be there tomorrow which means there will have to be another roster move made which could be that Youkilis may be sent down. They also have to call up the mystery starting pitcher for tomorrow which should be Frank Castillo.

Gutierrez is junk. He's slow, has no range or pop ... he won't be productive.

Why the hell is Theo wasting his time on little guys like this? Because no real players want to come to Boston. This is what we've got to settle for. After Nomar, Varitek, Pedro, Lowe, Williamson leave....Gutierrez will probably be our starting shortstop next year.

Fuck, Francona will probably try to build Millar's confidence by starting HIM at shortstop. Then give him a hug in the dugout every time he makes an error.

I hate you Francona.

He's got a good glove and not such a good bat but an upgrade fromm Pokey he's jsut hear to hold up the fort when we get rid of Nomar and Pokey recovers.

I hope Gutierrez ain't Nomar's replacement. I hope we keep Nomey. But I think Gutierrez will be a better bench guy than Reese.

He won't if we start showing him respect. He'll stay if we win and support him.

No he won't seriously look at everything he said how he acts his body language it's clear that he wants out and I'm fine with that I think he will regret it. Every player who has left the Red SOx has never been the same look at his BA at home it's superior to on the road he'll miss Fenway and the fans and everything he will never find a place with fans as passionate about baseball as the Red SOx fans are but hey if he wants out it's his choice have fun out west.
