I thought this could be an idea, we could start a new thread everyday so we could discuss the daily progress of our prospects. If it isn't too popular, I'll just kill the idea.

David Murphy is 2-3 with a double as well, raising his OPS to 1.116.

How'd did that guy ever get 76 AB's for the Red Sox?

How did a team with Crespo on it ever win a World Series?

Baseball's a weird game, no?

He's probably an automatic out in AAA too. :dunno:

He looks like Mark Anthony? Or maybe he is?

Pedroia is really getting that AVG up. Hopefully he'll get hot so we can call him up!

not this year....let him get a full year before he gets to boston.

Agreed.

Where would he play? He'd be a downgrade at SS, and Loretta is hitting near .300 at 2B.

I think he would be an upgrade over Gonzalez offensively

And his range at short is nothing like gonzalez's

offensively sure, but Gonzo is not a real thorn in our side yet. Another year and Pedroia can come up fully ready and step in as a solid starter

fine... but I still think they should expose him to the majors in September

likely not because he is not on the 40 man roster.....the red sox likely don't want to put him on until the winter for option year reasons.

Pedroia adds another double. He's been en fuego in June.

.364 average .943 OPS.

Pedroia is the starting 2nd baseman for the Sox next year. Let him play the rest of the year in AAA, unless somehow Loretta gets injured. I dont think he's got good enough range to play SS.

2 RBI single by Cesar Crespo, PawSox lead by 3 now

Ya the PawSox game was

DUSTINMOHR4LIFE

How'd Choi and Murphy do? Do you guys know when the next Paw Sox game on NESN is? Going back to Pedroia, I think that if he is ready and the Sox are have 100% confidence in him, they should call him up, but, you guys have convinced me, that if he's not ready he shouldn't come up and waste a 40 man roster spot by sitting on the bench.

jsinger121

He's not ready and the Red Sox know he is not ready and they aren't going to waste a 40 man spot on him when there is no reason to have him on it until this winter when he becomes subject to the rule 5 draft I believe.

yeah. It's better to have him playing in AAA rather then sitting on the bench at the big league level wasting his service time
