Ortiz Suspended 5 Games

David Ortiz was suspended 5 games for his actions in Saturday's game against the Angels. The suspension will start Friday unless he appeals it which he plans to do. He would then be able to play until a hearing is held.

Milton Brradley didn't alomst hit an umpire. Anyone watch PTI? Wilbon wanted it to be 25! That's crazy but it easily could have been 10 or 15.

any news on the suspension and when it will be served. I got Poppy on my fantasy team as well...gotta know when to bench him....hopef Millar can continue his tear when Ortiz and Varitek are out. Mirabelli should pull his weight for a few games.

He's appealed it, and we haven't heard anything back regarding the results of the appeal.

I heard he'll sit out when when we play tampa and detroit: somehwere between august 4th and 12th we play all games with them tampa, detroit and then Tampa again I think.

the suspension seemed apprpoiate for the crime.....Varitek should get a couple..

A-Rod hasn't been in pinstripes long enough for me to hate him as much as I hate Jeter....but I hate him too.

V-Tek WILL get suspended, because he threw the first punch....I'd guess 3-5 games maybe? That's a pure guess...

A-Rod, Kapler, and Sturtze may also be looking at suspensions too...

Kapler won't get a suspension, because anyone could clearly see, that he was suprised when Sturtze grabbed him. A-Rod's been a total bitch these days after the suspension, they should give 10 games. Vartiek hasn't had much to say, which is classy, by keeping quiet. He should only get a game.
