Lopez has flat-out dominated us this year. If Wake's on, it should be a tight game. If Wake struggles, we could be in trouble.

Let's hope the offense stays hot and steamrolls Lopez.

Boston's on fire, their destroying everyone in sight (including that bitch A Rod!) I predict a 3-4 night for Millar with a HR, and a Boston win.

On Fire? I don't know about that. We won three in a row lets not get ahead of ourselves. We did beat the Yankees which was huge, but its pretty far fetched to say we are destroying everyone in sight when we have played .500 ball the past 3 months.

I agree. This team's won 3 games in a row... Not exactly grounds for declaring the season turned around.

And honestly: Beating the Orioles should be EXPECTED, not celebrated....

fire...hmmm, maybe a candle but we have a ways to go for fire.....

God forbid we go into a 6th or 7th inning behind or ahead by a run or two...

between all the joy in winning 3 in a row, actually 4 out of the last five.

our bullpen really really sucks.....

the bottom line is that yes------- A rod is a total prison bitch, and I think, destroying everyone in sight is a bit of an over statement, but lets just keep it going...a long road trip. some injuries, some suspensions, lets just win win win...and please GOD none of this lose when the yankmees lose and win when they win crap....< I hate that>....

Rivera looks so bad, his cutter is so flat, he'll turn it around though. But it's pretty sad when Chris Gomez is hitting your curveball. I think that's the trick to hitting Rivera, get a 3-1 count!

Agreed...this team isn't on fire yet, but damn, they have been absolutely crushing the ball. It'll be interesting to see how the Sox fare against Lopez tonight. He has owned them so far this season. If we get the W tonight, I'm predicting a sweep (wow, feels great to say "sweep" again...haven't said it in awhile!) with Schill on the mound tomorrow. Stay tuned...

I agree.

A-Rod's a bitch, teams aren't exactly afraid to face our lineup, and our bullpen has me a bit worried.

Pass the crab cakes! Timmy the Wonder Pony came up huge last time out. Lopez not only owns Boston this year; he beat 'em 4 times last year. Hey Tito, why not take a night off, and let the boys attack on their own? Getting behind in the count to this kid isn't working. He throws strikes. Keep up the aggressive ball....it's working. And learn to say the B word. No, not THAT one....BUNT !

I'm not too worried about the bullpen. Most of the runs or inherated runs scored (except for Foulke on Friday) have come off of mop up guys giving the regulars a break. I mean Mendoza, Leskanik, Adams and Malaska have been in like the last 4 games.

Yeah, I like our bullpen as well too. The problem has been walks, Timlin doesn't walk that many batter, nor does Williamson (please come back soon!) Our bullpen looks like this

MR Timlin
MR Adams
MR Mendoza
MR Malaska?
SU Williamson
SU Embree
CP Foulke

That's a pretty damn good bullpen in my opinion

Compare it to the Yankees

MR Prinz
MR Proctor
MR Herdia
MR I don't even know
SU Quantrill
SU Gordon
CP Rivera

Other than Quantrill, Gordon, and Rivera (who all seem to be breaking down) there is nothing.

I think we've seen the last of Lopez for the night. 1 hour is kinda a lot to ask for a pitcher.

Not so sure our bullpens problem has been walks. I think the bigger problem is giving up homers (especially grand slams and 3 run homers reciently)

The rainout actually helps this team. See above article.
