actually this hurricane is fun, but's taking to long to get here. I wanted to play golf later today, but they wouldn't let anyone.

Category 3 right now, I don't think it'll get stronger. They keep showing it on the weather channel.

category 3...thats pretty strong, middle on the scale i guess. Do they have evacuation sites? I remember seeing them when i was down by the keys.

last i heard the winds in florida are now 100-110, and they have evacuated the area, anyone who didnt evacuate is on their own and chances of survival if injured are marginal

100-110? thats when you know you arent living in a safe place. Actually the northeast has basically no natural problems, hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes. Only thing we have nor'easters but those are fun most of the time.

i dont know...maybe thats what it could be...i just heard somethin about 100-110. this is also, the weather channel added, one of the most devastating hurricanes in DECADES. also its gunna work its way over east NY and west MA (mainly worcester) by sunday evening.

yea but it'll be really weak, probably not that much stronger than a severe thunderstom. You have to tell me, how do you pronounce worcester?

It missed Sarasota, by a few miles. The worst we got here was heavy rain with winds gusting to 40 mph. Ft. Myers got hammered, winds reached 120 mph, and flooded the streets. The storm is around Arcadia right now (east of sarasota) and headed NNW at around 22 miles an hour. It should be out of Florida by Sunday morning, and on it's way up to the Carolina's. The storm probably won't hit the northeast severaly at all.

worcester = wooster but not like rooster, its without the "too" sound, like a dry whistle.

Sarasota, Florida. We were expected the storm to hit us dead on, but there's something about Sarasota and hurricanes. The last 3 that were post to be direct hits veered off. This one was headed in the direction where I live, but headed west at the last second. Oh yeah, there's another one forming in the Atlantic right now.

Never heard of that, Nostradamous said that probably, he's predicted an armagaddon on the turn of the millenium, nothing.
