The Olympics kick off today in Athens. I missed the opening ceremonies, but I'm sure I'll get a healthy dosage of the events sooner or later. Anyway, we can discuss stuff in here if it interests you guys.

We'll never see a dream team again. Get a big guy and a whole bunch of shooters to win over there.

this is the problem, duncans great but he gets triple teamed, so he isnt effective, then he sends it out to someone on the perimeter who takes a wide open shot adn misses it. Get reggie miller and ray allen over there. Stoicavich plays for serbia i believe.

The U.S now has 72 total medals.

It seems that olypmics coverage is much more intense here in France than in the US. It may be because France is much closer to Greece, but still. They show EVERYTHING, from the pre race warmups to the 1009 after race victory laps to athletes getting dressed. It's crazy, and it sure gets boring sometimes.

It may also be beacuse the time zones are similar, so they can actually show the events at a half decent hour.

China is right on our ass in gold medals.

Yeah, to Argentina again. Go to espn.com and see the bad news. We need to send college kids, no more prima donnas. AI= Team leader? My balls are more inspirational than that bitch.

well argentina won mens basketball. but i have to ask...are we that surprised that the usa got the bronze?

even though i still think the usa has the most talent, they had to get started with only a few weeks of practice to get familiar with each others style of play, whereas teams like argentina, spain, italy have been playing together for YEARS. talent doesnt matter if u dont know how to use it, and we demonstrated that fact by receiving only bronze with the best talent on the planet.

I wasn't expecting this team to win, i was surprised that they got bronze, because i didn't think this team would get anything at all. This team sucks.
