i think the texans. they are a great young club and have great young players. i think this is possibly david carr's breakout year. he has a great WR in andre johnson who is easily the best out of the WRs there, and they have an OUTSTANDING young RB in domanick davis. if they dont make the playoffs this year, they are easily a +.500 team. anyone elses thoughts?

i think it will be the jaguars. they build this team perfectly and should have a good year. maybe not the playoffs but a huge step in the right direction. they have an awesome O-Line to keep Leftwich on his feet, and scramble less as he keeps learning the NFL defenses. They have one of the best young defensive lines as well. They have a stud in Fred Taylor at RB, Jimmy Smith is a vet reciever capable of a 1000 yd season. This team will be in the playoffs very very soon

yankshater, good point, now that i look at it, if they dont make the playoffs this year, they easily make a +.500 year, and will make playoffs next year.

08-23-2004, 09:09 PM

Sizzlin22
08-29-2004, 02:55 PM
I see the Pats winning the AFC 2nd goes to the Ravens and I actually see the Bengals breaking out this year beware of the Bengals but I predict regular season Pats go 15-1.

Eagles are going to win it all, but he jets and giants will make the playoffs. Believe it.

schillingouttheks
09-01-2004, 09:44 PM
dude the jets cant compete anywhere...crespoblows knows i already posted a whole thing about this. eagles wont win it all, they have problems and just flop.

pats are goin to win again. the best team in football only got stronger.

empirestrikesback26
09-02-2004, 01:10 AM
If not the eagles, the ravens. Pats won't win. NFL=not for long.

Jets have a chance at the playoffs.

schillingouttheks
09-07-2004, 07:39 PM
they will finish second in the al east, as every other team there but the pats suck. but they wont make the wild card...maybe next season.

CrespoBlows
09-07-2004, 08:08 PM
I don't think the Jets could qualify for the AL East :D . jk, the Jets have realistic shot, because fins are going to suck, and the Bills are always iffy

schillingouttheks
09-07-2004, 08:22 PM
ever since the ricky willliams ordeal, no team in the afc east can compare to the pats. it is just a dominated division now.

CrespoBlows
09-07-2004, 08:48 PM
Pats looked awful in the preseason though, looks like that target on your back is getting bigger. I think on any given sunday, any team can beat the other one, that's the great thing about football.

schillingouttheks
09-07-2004, 08:55 PM
yes i know, but its preseason, and our starters played no longer than a quarter other than the game we won. we dont want any injuries. and carolina had their starters in ALL GAME.

empirestrikesback26

I'll give you my right arm is the pats ever win the AL east.

stocker323
09-08-2004, 06:18 PM
Redskins should have a decent team this year, with the addition of Portis and their new coach plus they are in a relatively weak division with Dallas and the Giants. I may have to hold you up to that bet.

redskins=most overrated team in the nfl. ok they have clinton portis, and yes he will ahve the year hes wanted, but will they get all they can out of him? no. the skins dont have a great o-line, and will get dominated by teams like the pats who have great d-lines, along with the ravens and dolphins. joe gibbs is one person and is a great coach, but he had much MORE talent than what hes dealing with now. people start assuming they have +500 record solely because of him. he can turn a team around, but when you have a team with the talent of the skins, its hard to say they can thrive. and empire, i AM holding you to that promise. and i wont forget, im writing it on a sticky on my comp..

empirestrikesback26

okay well the pat beat the ravens, the ravens could be one of the top teams in the nfl and would be great competitors if 3 things happen:
1. Kyle Boller becomes good cause he sucks major balls.
2. Todd Heap and Peter Boulware return
3. Jamal Lewis stops getting injured/arrested

YanksHater213

I still like the Jags, and I stick by what I said before, but, the real Cinderella team is San Diego at 8-3

The Patriots can't win the AL East, they can win the AFC East, but not the AL East.

The NFL bomb is the Seahawks, they have sucked this year, losing 38-9 against BUFFALO??? and that game when we had a big lead and the Rams came back to beat them. Just a bad team.

lol to clarify this, that was empire...

just wanted to clarify that because u quoted me...

anyway, the seahawks are kind of bombing it. but the bills are a good team. i cant imagine where they would be today if they started willis mcgahee full time at the beginning of the season. i could guess they would be 1 or 2 games behind the jets.

RedSox24

another huge bomb is the Chiefs they were favored to win the superbowl and they are what 3-8

schillingouttheks
12-01-2004, 04:59 PM
actually, someone said the chargers are a cinderella story, and i think they are perfectly, but who would have EVER thought that the steelers would be like us? let alone BEAT us and the EAGLES? they stand at the best team in the NFL right now.

RedSox24
12-01-2004, 05:28 PM
i agree, i think right now the 3 teams that have the best chance at winning the superbowl are:
1. Steelers
2. Pats
3. Chargers

RedSox24
12-01-2004, 05:29 PM
yes i said chargers

ahhchon
12-01-2004, 06:39 PM
umm, you forgot about them eagles.

right now i'de put money on:
pats
eagles
steelers
indy

john

RedSox24
12-01-2004, 06:41 PM
i didnt forget the eagles, i dont think they are gonna make it and the colts have no D, i dont think they can make it eventhough they have the best Offense in the game

CalvnHobs6
12-01-2004, 07:07 PM
The winner of the SB is coming out of the AFC...I can almost guarantee it. If it's not the Pats (who are honestly my unbiased pick...they ALWAYS find the way to win) it will be the Steelers. If not them, the Colts (when you have Manning on your team....*shudder*)
So my picks:
1) Pats
2) Steelers
3) Colts
4) Eagles

CrespoBlows
12-01-2004, 07:50 PM
If any team can stop the Eagles it's the Falcons

schillingouttheks
12-01-2004, 08:15 PM
correct.

also, how calvnhobs said how the SB winner will come out of the AFC, i think he is 100% correct. when you look at it, a team who is 10-6 at the end of the season this year WILL be left out of the postseason. a team with a 9-7 record in the NFC or possibly even 8-8 the way things are going over there, will make it to the playoffs. the NFC just isnt as good as the AFC this year, with the exception of the eagles/falcons.
