Hi,
Made a writeup about today's game too.

http://www.18eaststreet.com/articles/pregame20040902.html

Also, what's the general opinion on these writups? Do people like them? Hate them?

Do people READ them?

Let me know, as I'm curious. I enjoy writing them but if people don't care to read them I can stop posting. If you don't want to clutter up this thread (yeszir would probably appreciate that) you could always PM or e-mail me letting me know what you think about my writeups.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy the above preview of today's game.

Go Sox!

I really like them, I think theyre great! Lowe has been great lately, and I think that he will keep that up. Cabrera and Dougie have really really helped Lowes confidence.

Ok, starting with TX.. The bullpen is depleated. Foulke is iffy for Friday. We got Pedro, Wake, and Schill going. I'm feeling pretty good if Petey can snag game 1. Pedro's gotta pull 7 innings outa his butt to line us up for the series.

This is so much fun. 6 more killer games to worry about, not to mention Seattle, then the Yanks. I love this.

I see a sweep here. Texas is not the team it was.

Lowe had a great late breaking curve ball tonight. He actually had a coupel of points in the game when he could have imploded, but he held it together. Roberts looked like a car wreck in right at one moment and then flashes some serious leather for a double play. Cabrerra made a great pick on the short hop throw by Tek to nail Glaus in the 9th. Myers does his job on one lefty hitter. Manny gets no hits and Ortiz sits and we still win! 9 in a row!

Lowe was key, but I have to point out a pleasant surprise over this Angels series: Jason Varitek. He threw out 3 runners (that I can remember), including Troy Glaus last night. Yes, Glaus is slow, but Tek's not known for his ability to throw out runners...and last night that out was HUGE.

1 out, runner on second is COMPLETELY different than 2 outs, nobody on.

Tek, my hat goes off to you for your arm this series. Keep it up!

Like I said, Lowe controlled damage, and we won. Bartolo got lit up when he fell behind.

This team is definately on a roll! Bring on Texas!
