Even though we lost last night this team must still be fired up. I'm hoping for and expecting a win from this team today.

Tha yankees have vazquez pitching, lol. 1.5 games anyone?

and i havent seen any yankee fans posting in here recently, i think theyre too pissed about their team sucking recently. its about time they feel some pain and frustration...as they almost NEVER do.

some guy named bruce chen (LHP) is going up against the yanks. he is 0-0 with a 2.19 ERA...im not so sure about the yanks losing today because that means they would be swept by the ORIOLES in yankee stadium. but however, vazquez has sucked.

EDIT: i put in his first name and his actual ERA is 2.19, was changed from 2.66 which i originally posted.

His name is Bruce Chen and he pitched in 5 games for the sox last year. :o

Anyway, he's pitched well with Baltimore in his two appearances with them, but before, with Houston he was iffy. He has a career 4.52 ERA so its not like he's a horrible pitcher (vazquez has 4.21), and since the yankees have been playing so horrible as of late, anything can happen.

Vazquez has given up 19 runs over his last 4 games, and he was the starter during the 22-0 blowout.

Sorry to mess up the formatting in this thread, lol, but this is vazquez's most recent starts. Not too great considering Chen has recently posted a 2.something era.

Wow, I thought for sure we'd get at least one run there, but Drese just struck out the site.

That was dissapointing.

1-0 Sox after 2.

schillingouttheks

drese starting to choke. first inning maybe caught up to him? 3-0 bos in bottom 3rd with 2 outs and kapler up, who grounds out to end the inning...nice inning however.

Yanks, O's 3-3 after 5.

It was a perfect game, wasn't it? Oh well, he's still pitching extraordinarily well. If he keeps it up and goes 7 or 8, 3 runs should be plenty. (of course we'll get more, but I'm comfortable as it is)

Yes it was a perfect game.

4-1 Sox now on a Ortiz HR. End 5th.

Yanks win on a walk, sorry but that second pitch was a strike. Red Sox go for win in the 9th.

Francona is trying to be the anti-grady and take out the starter. IMO he should have left Schill in there. It was obvious he wanted to continue and he definitely had it in him. Michael Young has just owned him today with those 2 hrs.

Hopefully foulke doesn't blow it.

yeszir

Well I'll be damned. Foulke BETTER close this game out.

Near miss right there, we gained a game over the series. Now the D-Rays need to do something. Do it for Florida, Rays!

Good game, except for the 9th!

schillingouttheks

that was dumb, schill can close a game with a 5 run lead. i agree with yeszir on francona.
