Move tavarez to the pen and let hansack start, tavarez isn't a starter

He hasn't been doing that badly though. We've faced Wang once and Halladay twice when we sent Tavarez out, and we've won 2 of those 3 games.

Exactly...he's had a tough draw and has done pretty well! Plus he get's to oppose Santana Saturday. I would leave him alone until Lester is ready to come back.

He'll also have another test this Saturday against the Twins. He opposes Johan Santana :o

I think you may have explained what luck is.

This is quite possible as well.

last season is when the injury problems came on. His stuff has diminished and his body is falling apart. The sox may have held on for one yr too long.

Ya Timlin might be breaking down finally, Its ok tho because he hasnt been a big part of the BP this season so far. Donnely,Okijihma have stepped up were we used to have to pitch Timlin. If hes on the shelf for awhile maybe we will get a couple months of a fresh armed Timlin at the end of the season...

Nah. The Sox should just fire their strength and conditioning coach. He's obviously the bigger problem here. :D

Timlin with a healthy arm could prove to be crucial at the end of the season! Thus far, though, the bullpen has been impressive, unlike last year! Timlin has been a work horse. He is an owner of 3.55 Era, he has a career 2.95 ERA (60ER/183.0 IP) in September- October regular season ERA in 177 games. So, even though he is getting older, he is still a good pitcher to have in the bullpen come the end of the season.
