um, considering this isn't even the biggest mismatching of pitchers in the last WEEK (see Pedro vs Ryan Franklin)... I take it you don't watch games?

Well Ryan Franklin does have some sucess (albeit a little) Hendrickson has none, and has lost his last 6 decisions.

This season:
Ryan Franklin: 4-15, 5.03 ERA (a .211 winning percentage)
Mark Hendrickson: 8-14, 4.93 era (a .364 winning percentage).
So, Shilling vs Hendrickson IS a mismatch, but Pedro vs Franklin was a BIGGER mismatch.
I hate it when Empire makes statements that aren't based in fact, like:
hahaha, this is the biggest mis match of pitchers I have ever seen.
Anyway, we need Curt tonight to give us momentum going into the Yankee stadium! (and preferably pitch deep into the game and give our bullpen a bit of a rest)

Wasn't he good two years? I don't know, good job Angels losing 2 out of 3 5.5 back and 18 games left. I'll take those odds.

Not to be picky or anything, but I believe it was Schilling vs Franklin. Still a pretty big mismatch. I think the announcers said it was the first time that a pitcher 10 games over .500 faced a pitcher 10 games under .500 since we faced Tanyon Sturtze, when he was on the Devil Rays a couple years ago.

It's an opinion, it doesn't need to be backed up by fact.

Stocker...
You're right. For some reason I remembered in my head it was Pedro...obviously I was wrong. Here's the Wrap of that game (http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/news/wrapup.jsp?ymd=20040910&content_id=853705&vkey=wrapup2004&fext=.jsp&c_id=mlb)
I did say that this IS a mismatch...I just feel the game (linked above) was a BIGGER one.
That being said, however, Hendrickson is 0-3 with a 9.18 ERA against us this year.

Schilling's getting #20 tonight. Cabrera is going 3-for-4 with two doubles (don't ask). And for the first time in the last three games the Sox will beat a crap team by more than 2 runs.

I think I was half serious. But I've seen weirder things happen. Like what Midre Cummings just did.

Schilling was outstanding getting his 20th at Fenway. And the pen rested except for Adams, who should get plenty of rest this weekend.

You better be... The pounding you take here when the Sox pound the Yankees will be too much for you.

Anyway, great win by the BoSox. Schilling has been awesome this year!
