We're winning this one after an early game brawl. Hernandez is bound to lose one before the season ends and it will be tonight!!! Arroyo is known for hitting a lot of batters, and although it will probably be semi- intentional, but mostly unintentional when he pegs one of the Yanks tonite (hopefully sheffield) a brawl will ensue. I'll take David Ortiz in the Bronx anyday, and I'm excited to see how Cabrera and the other new additions will acclimate to sports' best rivalry. Unfortunately we won't have another walk- off homer from Mueller, but I think Youk will do fine. IF Nixon plays I expect some magic. And hopefully Tek gets to go round 2 with A- Rod.

C'mon! No fights or bean balling! The last thing I want to see is 4 more players suspended/injured.

Both teams are playing well right now but neither is on fire -- unlike the last two series in NY where one hot team crushed one bumbling team both times. This should be fun. :damon:

It seems like every time we face each other, the rivalry just grows and grows. It wasn't like this 2 years ago.

Red Sox definitely looked better in the first, and Bronson looks like he's pitching well.

You're a gentleman, Empire.

Whatever happens for rest of season, this is the most significant Red Sox regular-season win EVER!

Simply the best win of the season. Momentum moves waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay over to the sox side, and we just feel good about ourselves. :D

All of the times I've seen him implode have been against the Red Sox. We just seem to have his number more so than any other team.

I don't know why, I think maybe they just leave gordon in. Or even sturtz lol

This was a great win, even though it means only a game in the race. The fruit bat gets beat in the 9th!! Trot starts it off with the walk. Cabrera seemed locked in to go the other way with Rivera right from the start. I still can't believe Lofton let Damon's ball drop. Manny had the big play on Cairo...NESN said two Red Sox fans in the front row in left field for Manny's catch were escorted out by cops.
And in the 9th...Tito puts in three gold glovers in the infield with Foulke on the mound...sweet dreams tonight!

What a freaking game. I had so much confidence in Cabrera, he's been clutch lately. Yankees, here we come.

Johnny Damon: the most underrated player in the MLB. Why do the yankees always pitch to him? In my memory, he has always gotten a big hit when needed against the yanks...last night was no different. Great game. Unfortunately, it's pouring rain up here in the NY area. Today's game is probably rained out (and I have tickets :(
