No Youk is embarrassing. I dont care what other 1B's numbers are compared to his, he should go.

Pedroia > Roberts. Well, not really, but I wanted him in.

Not Roberts but Id put in Pedroia over Polanco, BJ Upton should have gotten some consideration but he doesn't have enough ABs to qualify yet otherwise he'd be 1st among AL 2B in OPS by a large margin.

Biggest snubs - John Maine, Hanley Ramirez, Orlando Cabrera, Sheff, and Youk? Any other big ones?

I don't know if it's a big one, but Eric Byrnes is having quite a year.

Nice!!!! The American League is gonna dominate.

I have a question about the All-Star game. I missed last years and never really actually paid attention to them, but is the DH rule taken out since it's NL vs AL?

It's the same rules as interleague. If it's in an NL park, there's no DH. If it's in an AL park, there's a DH.

Chris Young, not officially snubbed yet, but how in the world does he not make it to begin with.

Manny Ramirez should not be in this game, Morneau should be starting over Ortiz, and obviously O-Cab should be on the team. .342 avg 5 homers and 48 RBIS.

They got it right.

Jeter should be the SS, and Ortiz should be at 1B.

Not to say that homeruns and RBI's are more important then OPS, but look how bad the Sox offense is when Ortiz doesn't drive the ball out of the park. Ortiz has not homered at Fenway Park since April 21st, and he has like 7 homers in the last two months. Morneau has 20 Jacks and 61 driven in. He has been carrying that offense all year long. As for Jeter vs. O-Cab, I say it is a wash offensively, but Orlando crushes Jeter on the defensive side of the ball. 4 errors vs. like 12-13.

Id probaly go with Guillen as the starting SS:

Guillen: .320/.389/.560/.949
Jeter: .338/.411/.470/.881

The All-star voting, and thus the game, are a joke. I only care after the fact...i.e. if the Sox were to get to the WS, then I care who won.

Otherwise MLB can shove the fkn game up their collective ass.

Anyone know if Chris Spermin is doing the HR derby? Damn I can't stand his call of it.

Someone in the PCL should know those things.

Shouldn't he be rooting for the NL? (Nationals)

If HFA in the World Series is decided by this game, it shouldn't be left up to the fans to vote.

That being said, Brian Fuentes shouldn't be on the team.

I thought this was pretty funny. Boston.com takes a look at the 2007 all-star promo, this one has them boarding trolley cars that travel to the park. Not one Red Sox player is in it, it is mostly national league players. Even more funny is that a good number didnt even make the all-star team. Jason Giambi? Nomar?
