Wake vs. Riley

Sox take 3 out of 4 if they win this one.

Sox jump out to an early lead. I'm very eager to see Wake start pitching. I want to see him make up for the game that shall not be mentioned.

And the game goes on.... You'd think at least one of the teams, both having great offenses, would score SOMETHING after a while. This game isnt one of offensive highlights for sure.

Is it allowed that this big tension-filled game is happening during the 4th game of the season?

JONES BLOWS

That was SO deflating. He walks the bases loaded, then walks in the winning run...fucking jackass.

Shitfuck!!

I'm not sure who to pissed at...Jones or the umpire? Jones sucks and he reminds me of one of the Shiell/Seanez/Fox tandem we had last year. Oh well. Home opener to watch. I'm just glad that one is over. It was agonizing to watch.

That umpire is one lazy ass punk. Jones deserved some of those calls. Jackass behind the plate wanted to leave.

there were some bad calls...but seriously...how do you walk 4 guys in a row? just throw it over the plate man, id rather lose on a base hit than a walk

Heh, I was just listening to WEEI, and some guy who called in was like "I guess Francona didn't make it clear that Jones is supposed to throw over the plate."

I think of Embree and Timmy had pitched 2 innings each, we would have been fine pitching-wise. As for the lack of offense...I guess just a failure to capitalize.

the sox defense kept them in the game longer than they should have been

Bobby Jones will now by synonymous with "way back" Wasdin and Pete Schourek in my mind. Damn, the sox have had some terrible relievers in recent years. Bring back El Guapo!
