I’ll take a stab: because none of you can match Bloom.

You keep saying this. It’s worked out well.

Has no recently turned 28 pitcher with excellent “stuff” ever busted out of mediocrity?

So glad I don't participate in fantasy team stuff. Being a fan of the actual Red Sox team messes up my head enough as it is.
Championships since purchase by John Henry group: Red Sox 4 Yankees 1

The Red Sox are 8-1 in their last 9 postseason games against the Yankees.

I’m a big Dallas Cowboy hater but won a fantasy league riding on Emmit Smith’s shoulders. That was weird!

Some have, but not many with career high walk rates, dropping K rates and unsustainable HR/FB rates

Kluber's K rate is also down and BB rate also up.

I have him in my league, which is an 11 team roto league. Plenty of good pitchers available, but Pivetta has been working for me. Although the WHIP is troublesome.

Some Sox fans do prefer not have Boston players on their team. Superstition? Sure. Don’t like the double whammy if they disappoint? Yeah, for some. Every team has fans like that. No biggie...

His H/9 rate is way down, and it’s not all about BAbip being low.

Maybe he’s just a pitcher that gained a lot from the new ball era.

Also, his BB/9 rate is dropping quickly. He had 17 in his first 27 innings and 5 in his last 17 Ip, which is back to his career norm- not great but not so bad you still can’t be a good pitcher.

The HR/9 rate is something we’ll have to watch..

No, no, no! You have to use a different criteria for each and every Yankee starter.

As with Pivetta recently, kluber’s walk rate is back to close to his career norms post his third start. Kluber’s done this before. Pivetta hasn’t. I’ll be enjoying his downfall later in the year. Just letting you all know

I honestly like this very underrated team Bell. Tip my cap to Bloom and Cora. They are intangibles that you won’t find in stats.

So, unless someone has done it before; it can’t be done?

It’s not like Pivetta is 35.

How about what Sale, ERod, Richards and Eovaldi have “done before? For them, you use a whole new set of measuring sticks.

Look, I’m not projecting Pivetta to place 10th in Cy Young, this year, but you act like he,s doomed to repeat his career norm every season and nobody can ever improve greatly in a season.

Well, Judge seems to have finally turned the corner. The jury is still out on the rest of the Yankees offense, since they are playing the Orioles. Nonetheless, they are winning games again, which makes the next few weeks a lot more fun. Who will be in 1st on June 4th: Sox or Yanks?
