Going through my wardrobe in preparation for moving and realizing that I hate most of the clothes I have
You have a pool right? How's the chlorine situation where you are? I've heard it's the same situation with chlorine tablets, there was a mention of a shortage and then everything was bought out.
I'm using liquid chlorine now a days so haven't noticed any issue. But I've seen pictures of people buying more than a years supply of the pucks.
In the town where I was born
Lived a man who sailed to sea
And he told us of his life
In the land of submarines
So we sailed up to the sun
'Til we found a sea of green
And we lived beneath the waves
In our yellow submarine
Oh yeah I’ve always tipped well. I tip almost every profession that it’s acceptable, and usually more than 20%. Barbers, servers, bartenders, I even sometimes tip people who are just helpful/nice like an usher at a ball game, or a mechanic doing me a solid. It just really pisses me off when people are mean/rude to people in any profession, especially when they don’t deserve it/were polite the whole time.
The restaurant industry is just really interesting. I’ve worked with everyone from people addicted to heroin to people who are way too smart to be in the industry but hasn’t finished college and are in majors such as engineering and are making 6 figures now. Hell, last night after my shift got off, I sat down and had dinner and talked to a 17 year old girl and a 45 year old Mexican man who spoke very literally English and actually had good talks with them about how the pandemic impacted them, what they’re going through, and etc, even with a language barrier I got what he meant/was saying. This job has really made me realize to respect people more. I think sometimes people forget everyone is human and you have no idea what they’re going through.
Regarding my foot issues, luckily my foot has cooperated more after a lot of risk and using new shoes/sleeping in a brace. I told my managers I cannot work those 10 hour doubles anymore and they’ve been cutting me earlier/giving me more staff to make my workload earlier, thank God. I was legitimately considering having to leave industry
Another thing that’s frustrating, the housing market. Rentals or houses for sale are literally on the market for like 24 hours and are gone. People are offering over the asking price and voiding inspections when buying houses. It is absolutely insane right now
1. Anytime my son goes to Target to buy baseball cards, they are out. I didn't realize people were lining up on Friday mornings and buying out the stock.
2. Fortunately, I had a full tank of gas when the panic buying started. Traffic around pretty much every gas station was all jacked up on Tuesday. I think the gas situation is somewhat getting back to normal, but many stations are still out of gas.
3. I hope you feel better soon.
